Personal confession of mine. I've been struggling with lust issues for the past couple of years. I've been recently pulled back, compelled to seek refuge in the Word, in God Himself. I've had a couple of calamities hit me from all sides. I haven't been able to make this confession to anyone else, but I find solace in knowing the Lord listens to me in spite of being my own pathetic self.

If you'll believe the Gospel(Jesus's death for your sins, His burial & resurrection)you'll not perish & have eternal life

Being a truthful, sincere, caring, loving person, helping others. That is not the point. Do what you can to do good.
@RobertMcG123 you should strive to help others anyway regardless of belief in ancient superstitous fairytales. To help each other collectively is innate in every human being which has resulted in our survival as a species. Religion has highjacked this concept and surrounded it with fairytales of a god, afterlife etc... Religion took its morals from humanity and not the other way around.

The fact is, humans have had a history of doing both bad and good things, both on an individual and collective level. Some of those have been extremely good, and some extremely bad. My Father Died in 2005 My Sister had a video retrospective of his life through snapshots from his life. This is the Song that was used that was played on the video while the snapshots went through. When I hear this song I remember my Dad and his life but more so the Great Love of God and how God id good. Dad my Hero you are missed.

Religion has highjacked this concept and surrounded it with fairytales of a god, afterlife etc... Religion took its morals from humanity and not the other way around.

@Stumperx I suppose that is one way of looking at it. It is as simplistic as anything religion ever came up with, and easily disputed as religion can be. The fact is, humans have had a history of doing both bad and good things, both on an individual and collective level. Some of those have been extremely good, and some extremely bad. Religion is an attempt to explain that. It is also an attempt to create a way of life that supports the good. Your idea that it is all fairytales

@Stumperx a form of dogmatic thinking as foolish as anything religion ever came up with. To malign religion due to the various historical failings, and endeavor to replace it with your dogma of believing that helping each other is innate in every human being is not going to work to bring more love in the world. To bring more love, which is the only thing that will make a difference for the good, you need to act on it. Perhaps you think you are bringing more love by posting comments like this.

By the way, any mother will tell you that helping others is something that needs to be brought out in their children, some more than others. Some toddlers can be downright hurtful to others, until they are trained otherwise.

@Stumperx if you don't believe in something as AWESOME God why did you even listen to the song? If you didn't I'm pretty sure you wouldn't look it up. But if your going to insult our religion, you need at least know things about it and not just be judgemental!! My Father Died in 2005 My Sister had a video retrospective of his life through snapshots from his life. This is the Song that was used that was played on the video while the snapshots went through. When I hear this song I remember my Dad and his life but more so the Great Love of God and how God id good. Dad my Hero you are missed.

The only way? there are approximately 4 billion people on this planet who outright reject Jesus as the messiah and they don't want to know about him and couldn't give a flying fluck about the biblical character.
