This movie would have done SO much better financially if the rating system in America wasnt so fucking dumb. It was meant to be a PG-13 feature but it got slapped with an R rating for being "too violent" even after cuts were made. I'm American & I think it's stupid. The R rating took away the target audience. I was 10 when this came out & I wanted to see it so bad because I love ghost films & the trailer was funny. The poster was creepy too! :) When you moved, the face like popped out more!
Hi I'm sorry but if someone could help me, I'm interested in the scenes, I had seen parts of this movie before on TV, but I forget, I want to know/remember the scenes/scene there was where there's somewhat male nudity or a shirtless man or a shirtless man IN a towel kind of scenerios. Can you help me? Thanks Sincerely, candytotty
I've always regarded this movie as one of the worst and cheesiest horror films of all time next only to ''Van Helsing'' and ''Lady in the Water''. I caught this on T.V one night years ago and was in awe of its terribleness, it's a goofy, poorly acted, laughable movie that fits no true genre, it's neither scary nor funny nor anything but an onscreen joke. And I'll never stop saying ''WTF'' at the ''Why are you shaking scene'' - oh good Lord, I can't believe they put that in there lol.
Happy Birthday! When i was junior high watching "Times Square" fall in love her.She is still very beautiful. Please tell her "Good luck!"when you meet "Trini Alvarado".I am "Desperado" ww:-)
This movie is amazing. I own the novelisation and it's nice to read an early script in prose form - I'm glad they changed a few things for the movie. Frank was too cocky in the book/first draft xD anyways, gonna watch this for the thirtieth time ;D
can someone make a video of this with a song from "the black parade album" of my chemical romance??please?i would make it myself but there has been a problem with jave.tsk.please?
@joyce3116 I could certainly Try something like that. Which Song do you think would fit best? I looked through all the songs from that Album and "Sleep" is about the only one that seems like it might fit. Let me know.
OMG thank you so much for uploading this! This was one of my favorite movies when I was a little kid. I love Danny Elfman and I love Michael J. Fox........awesome actor, music, movie. So sad hows underrated it is
i watch this when i was like 9. and i can't remember what is the name of the movie. all this while i've been asking my friends " HEY! have you ever watched a Michael J fox movie with some ghost killing people and the victims has numbers on their forehead" and my friends all go like "WTF dude. there was no such movies." asswipes!
Toy Story was a good effort for its time, but being entirely computer animated, it can bypass a lot of problems that are associated with a live action production. Match-moving and rotoscoping come to mind.
The best example of CGI at that time was Jurassic Park - that cost around $60 mil - with the industry's finest (Winston, ILM, Tippet)behind the production. The CGI for that film was around 50 shots.
Then you have The Frightners with only $30 mil, and more than 400 shots. Weta Digital & Workshop were only just starting to grow.
I think they did pretty well considering the time.
@nuckinfuts32330 OK true. but whay i am trying to say is that it was possible to do better CGI in 1996. the budget here was "only" 30 millon $ while lots of movies today have 100+ millon $ budgets
@simon1234simon Let's not talk about CGI okay? The Frighteners was Above and Beyond Awesome with CGI compared to most Horrors today like Saw and Hostel. This movie hardly has any CGI in it and those movies are consumed with CGI like it is a Virus that has Spread through the time. The Frighteners is 1000x better than any CGI Horror Film of The last 10 Years.
@BillyColin shit, i had to go off the memory, looking up reaper, number on forhead, micheal jay fox, and bits and peices like that because i only saw this as a kid. I found it thank god.
@BillyColin LOL! ME too!!!! I can't remember the name! But i know it's related with being scared. So i typed on you tube: the scarers, the shockers etc. LMAO. Maybe its the long and sometimes hard to spell title.
@SmokenxKush Braindead, BadTaste, LOTR, KingKong, Meet The Feebles and Heavenly Creatures were all pretty dam good too. He is a great Director. I hope he goes back to Splatter Comedies/Horrors and soon. Horror needs him.
