I wish the people of Iraq could know that there are people out here trying to change our corrupt system that has us confused, distracted and unaware. Tragically our Congress has allowed the Republicans and the White House to assume even greater power to violate the Constitution. China is trying to get oil to be a world power too--with long-term contracts.

Also, since Arab oil states have nothing else to sell, cutting off our oil would hurt them more than us, & drive price up so others are tempted to take up slack, just like oil embargo in 70s.

Russia is a problem now because Bush is such a dangerous dick, & after fall of Soviet Union, rather than help them become a European economy, we sold neoliberal shock therapy to spin them toward Third World mafia economy.

Being an Iraqi-American I have studied the events that have unfolded in the last decade or so with an open mind. Since the tragedy that is 9/11 which ultimately led to the U.S. invasion, Iraq has become a quagmire. Saddam gone is great!!! Many people have died since, more than anyone could really imagine, the numbers don't even paint a picture to this tragedy. US power strategy for the next 100 years relies on Iraq under a puppet government. Period

However, we are much worse off with the U. S. occupying Iraq than the Iraqis were under Saddam. (Just ask the refugees -- now over one million -- who have fled from Iraq since the U. S. attacked and occupied illegally). Now over 650,000 Iraqi citizens have been killed.  Many more will die from the high levels of radiation, pollution, starvation, and other kinds of human suffering. With "friends" like the U. S., who needs enemies?
