  • Is mazda the new Honda!

  • It's a practical MX-5. ...I buy it!

  • I just bought this car 2 days ago. Grand touring, so if you got any questions, msg me! I'll be glad to answer.

  • Design out dated.

  • I got a brochure about the CX-5. The curb weight is under 3000 lbs, it's lighter than a Chevy Cruze.

  • His voice is so blah and monotone and sleepy

  • ARE MAZDAS RELIABLE?!

  • @BuzzKill2012 They are

  • @BuzzKill2012 They are reliable

  • @BuzzKill2012 yeah. my 25 year old mx6 is still going strong

  • @BuzzKill2012 Yes,Mazdas are among the most reliable cars. The Miata, for instance, usually gets the top reliability rating from Consumer Reports. And if you look at TUV-Report, which is a reliability rating report out ofGermany, Mazdas are often in their top ten most reliable cars.

  • test

  • This 2.0L gas engine will get phenomenal fuel economy, and by design it has more low end torque than any other 2.0 naturally aspirated gas engine. The torque is concentrated in the middle of the rev range, not the top end, thus when peak HP is calculated, it's numerically average (155hp).

The twin-turbo 2.2L skyactiv diesel should reach north american shores shortly after.

It has 310ft/lbs of torque, about double of the torque of an industry standard gas engine & gets hybrid-like economy

  • @OverlyExcitedNewJack

Do you know when SkyActiv-D will be available?

  • 100 Year Old Technology Still Use Today What A bump , Just Like You Use Old HP with different casing & Look

  • this reporter is a sexy man!

  • yuck!

  • Mazda is getting very very very good :D

  • Haha wtf? Like every pro he had a con lined up...

He's like "good car, but not really"

    "nice inside, not really"

Haha it did make me laugh though

  • yeha I agree on the HP it sould have a better engine ut for the price you cant go wrong!

  • This guy makes this car sound super boring.

  • i think he should wear a suit during the review.

  • "You're gonna want a little more OOOMF."

  • they should be rated at 167hp i believe since they have the 4-2-1 headers.

  • @forkliftninjaz It should be 155hp. But unlike the one in the 2012 Mazda3, it should have about 160 ft/lbs of torque in the CX-5 (compared to 148 ft/lbs on the 3).

  • Love the size of the CX-5, not so much about the front grille.

  • I like his accent. Wonder where he's from?

  • @NadrianATRS Probably an Israeli.

  • wow, I just delayed my new car purchase plan to wait for this promising CX-5

  • i like your accent

  • The cabin looks excellent, but the front end looked better on the concept.

  • @solonictoyota9186 its their design language, like how Hyundai has fluidic sculpting, mazda has kodo

  • @contractki11er Hyundai's design language is more of a "copy bits from everyone else's concept and production cars and then average it all out"

  • This guy was no Tom. And he used "although" a bit too much in his review. Otherwise, it was a good short highlight of the Mazda. I think the lack of HP will keep me from getting it though.

  • It is a replacement for the aging Tribute.

  • This reviewer was extremely boring.

  • what an odd accent. native american? italian?

  • @KyleRoll206 Israeli, I believe.

  • what sets consumer reports apart is that 1. they buy the cars to test them 2. their reviewers are engineers or have a technical background. 3. they review cars unlike others (notably British "car reviewers"). If you want entertainment go to somewhere else.

  • yawn

  • MPGs????

  • that is the most clearest "oomph" i've heard somebody said...

  • Cant wait to see more!

  • this guy talks like he was forced to do it. i was expecting Tom to do the review or Jake.

this car looks ok, but what turns me off is the engine. so he is right about the passing power and the noise as well. its understandable when they speak about fuel economy, but cmon, dont put a 4cyl on a big car. specially if you are willing to put 5 ppl in the car. how many people buys it. the highlander has a 4cyl as well and the Sienna too, but they arent that popular. people prefer the v6.

  • Boring as Hell!

  • I almost fell sleep to review

  • woops, already bought a 2012 CR-V like 2 days ago. Oh well.

  • I'm very attracted to this model.

  • Mazdaspeed CX-5? lol I like this reviewer as well.

  • I like this reviewer!

  • @Atticusfunk12 in soviet russia

  • Good looking cuv. Let's see what the long term report will be.

  • so consumer reports buy their own car than test them. consumer report kind awesome in many ways, they don't seem to bias toward particular car whether Japan, European, or American

  • @imaginaiton4me Well, they ARE Consumer Reports! They are known for being unbiased.

  • @imaginaiton4me lololololololol

  • first! js jk lol

  • um...curiosity question. Do you guys work with the IIHS so that you can save money because this is my idea. If you work with the IIHS, you can share the money used to pay off the car(s) and since the IIHS uses more than one to test, you can test nearly a range of models. You'll be able to test differences and after you finish using them, you can give then to the IIHS to test. Do you get me?

  • @WhiteIceMan3 I think the IIHS uses stripped down models, like no electronic works, and car would not even start, and there is no fluids in the engine. just all mechanical components and weight. Consumer report uses leather interior, navi etc. Plus car manufacture supply IIHS with those cars and IIHS don't pay for them.

  • A turbo might help for the lack of "oomph".

  • what a boring review!
