  • I really enjoyed watching your layout....good job with putting so much in such a space....I think you have done a terriffic job and should be proud of your layout!!!

  • @jukeboxjimmy11 Thanks for your positive comment, and for watching

  • again...not many folks want to try a smaller railroad, but after they get started on a 25x35....they wich they would have done something smaller to start..lol! Again, great Job!

  • Now that's a NICE railroad layout....Swweeeet!! Thanks for sharing.

  • @Strongarm5791 Thanks for your positive comments, and for watching.

  • @blacklight0304 Thanks for your comment, and for watching. Yes, i did over time.

  • Small but very detailed. Nice one. =)

  • @TheNitronaught Thanks for looking.

  • Excellent choice of music, the drummer is very good. The layout is quite nice, I would've liked a little more switching opportunity however. Great none-the-less.

  • @whoohaaXL Thanks for your comments, and for watching. Yes , i would agree.

  • The U.P. SD70ACe Rio Grande Heritage unit is a MTH HO, or Kato?

  • @ELMSLines The SD70ACe Heritage unit is a MTH model; and thanks for watching.

  • what kind of track did you use?

  • @WdWfan1231 the track is atlas 83, and thanks for watching.

  • Isn't five feet a little excessive to be reaching into?

  • @goofoffproductions No, its only 2.5 feet from any side.

  • @Richard53625 Oh I thought it would be more. Though I suppose the height of the layout also plays a part in that.

  • That's fantastic, when I was really young I my grandfather built a big HO scale set in his basement. I miss getting to fool around with it so I'm planing out my own set now. I'm glad to see so much can be done without a HUGE space. What an impressive layout for the space. Keep up the good work!!

  • @M3rlin257 Thanks for your comment, and for watching my vids.

  • Great music, great to know that there are folks out there that enjoy light jazz. Now to the HO layout: Really enjoy this layout. Great use of the 5 X 9 area. My sons and I are starting to build a 5 X 19 HO layout. This gives us an idea what can be done in smaller spaces. It seems that that the model magazines tend to cover only large layouts in really good in depth pictorial articles. Thanks for posting. Pete Rosa, Former touring big band jazz trumpet player.

  • @CIRCUS1944 Firstly, thanks for your comment, and for watching my vids. Secondly, i am glade some of us still like good jazz music.

  • WOW NICE !! WORK ! ..I HAVE A HO TRAIN LAYOUT TOO HOPE MINES COME OUT LIKE THIS !!

  • @JOsEGoMeZ211 Say, thinks so much for your positive comment, and thinks for watching.

  • Well done!! Goes to show what can be done in a relatively small space.

  • @steved0689 thanks for your comment, and for watching

  • Very Nice layout! I wanna do something very similar

  • @400exNick thanks for your comment, and for watching my vids.

  • Hats off to you sir!! I have to admit, I'm surprised to see large locos on a small layout. fThis is certainly motivation for me to build one for myself!! Type of benchwork??

  • @WarrenPace Thanks for your positive comment. I had to use 24" radius on the layout. thanks for watching.

  • Nice !

  • This is a very nice layout. Love the scenery and coloring of the trees. Makes you feel like putting a jacket on and do some railfanning....lol. Great job and will be looking forward to more

  • @CVandergriff2008 Thanks for your comments, and for watching.

  • Ya know, I had to chuckle at the coment about smaller layouts actually get finished! Mine is 16x12 and nowhere near being finished! Very nice layout Sir, well done.

  • @cbertsbnsf thanks for your comments, and thanks for watching my vids.

  • awesome layout!!!!

  • @jakea10thunder Thank you for your comment, and for watching my vids

  • Very nice layout

  • @unionpacific7 Thank you for your comment, and for watching.

  • nice layout!!

  • @bowmenbeachrr thanks for watching.

  • Very nice. Smaller layouts do seem to have the advantage that they actually get built and more or less finished. I built my 4ft by 8ft 6ins layout in less than 6 months. It's like with boats - smal ones gt used while big ones that need several people to sail them stay in the marina.

  • @Ballinalower thanks for positive comment, and thanks for watching my vids

  • wat dcc controller u using mate

    n nice layout

  • @modeltrainteen95 Firstly, thanks for watching; the controller i'am using is MRC Prodigy advance2

  • Thank you for sharing your layout on Youtube. It looks awesome!

    1. What is the brand of track you are using? 2. Is the track code 83? 3. What are curve radius? 22? 24? I was wondering because you are using some large locos on your layout I am thinking about building a layout bigger than 4X8 accommodate some of my larger locos.

    Thanks again for sharing

  • @greenwaterhose Firstly, thanks for your positive comment, and watching the vid. Now to the questions:

the brand of track is atlas code 83; the radius as followed: outer track is 24" and inside is 22". good luck on your new layout.

  • @greenwaterhose Thanks you for you for the information about your layout.

  • Awsome layout. Love all the details and scenery. Very very nice

  • @csvo2000 thanks for the positive comment, and for watching

  • Is this modeled after the atlas ho-15, its very similar, which to say is what mine looks like. Yours has so much detail, I cant wait to apply some of your techniques to mine. Thanks for the video.

  • @donsgotmoney thanks for your positive comment, and good luck on your layout.

Oh yes, my layout is its similar, with modifications.

  • thats awesome!!!!!!!!!! how did make your background?

  • Very nice layout. Lot of time put into it, I can tell. I recently lost my train room- my son and family had to move back in- so I'm building a 5X10 in out family room.

  • @tenabob Thanks so much for your positive comment. Good luck on your new layout

  • I have 3 word for you: Oh.. My.. Gosh. That is one awesome layout! I can't believe you can fit all of that onto a 5x9 layout! I just got a 5x9 board, but I'm an O scale modeler. But wow. Your layout is nice. You must have fun performing layout operations on that board.

  • @Wontonwabledoo Thanks for your positive comment, and for watching

  • One more question, what turnouts did you use?

  • @bigtrainrocks the turnouts are #6s

  • Awesome layout! Im thinking of doing a 5x9 layout too. What are your radius curves?

  • @bigtrainrocks Thanks for your positive comment; the radius are as followed: outer track is 24inch, the inner track is 22 inch. good luck on your layout

  • @Richard53625 Thanks and you're welcome :)

  • Need to get the Kadee Coupler Height Gauge onto that UP loco - the first boxcar was barely hanging on.

  • @JBofBrisbane that true what is up with the couplers on most models?THEY ARE LIKE MESSED UP OR SOMTHING?

  • love the layout...nice detail

  • @cinluvsart Thanks so much for your positive comment, and keep watching for more vids.

  • love it

  • Thanks for the heads up Richard ;)

  • Very nice layout.

  • @NaserjPTI Thanks for watching and for the nice comment, and keep watching

  • I like it! Mine is bigger though

  • Nice layout, and the music wasn't bad either.

  • @michaelmohrmann thanks for your comments, and happy you like the music also

  • Great layout & love the scenery, well done! If mine turns out 1/2 as good think Ill be happy. Doing partial shelf/partial frame in dual purpose 22x12 room.

  • @rmindydotcom Thanks so much for your comment. I am sure your layout will turn out great, and looking forward to seeing it soon.

  • @Richard53625 Curious, the 3story building with apartments seen at the left at 6:57, who makes that?

  • @rmindydotcom Thanks for watching, the 3 story building is by Woodland Scenics, which is call: "J.W. Shoe Cobbler" kit

  • Amazing layout in such a small space!!!

  • @csxfan14 Thanks alot for you comment, and i dig you vids

  • @Richard53625 Thanks that means a lot.

  • Very Nice, I Think a 5x9 Is alot better then a 4x8 Just that little bit of extra spaces goes along way! 2 Thumps Up!

  • @ohiosouthern Firstly, thanks you for your comment. Secondly, you are right, a 5x9 is better to work on.

  • Very nice layout. You have a very keen eye for detail which really brings it to life. Thanks for sharing!

  • @disturbed1954 Thanks so much for your comment; and i like your site.
