  • my cousins had this system, i played it a lot as a kid. i still get out my old 2600 and play it every once in a while. great channel and videos, im very nostalgic and thank you for the content, check out my lowbrow comedy skits if you like silly humor.

  • @YouOneEntertainment Nice! Nothing like playing the classics--haha----Thanks

  • Brings back memories when I was a kid. I got one of these for Christmas!

  • @luvitluvitbaby Thanks for stopping by

  • Never saw one of these in person. Was just reading that this design was actually the version Atari sold in Japan under the Atari 2800 label. Sears really liked the design and decided to sell it in the states as their follow up to the original Video Arcade. It is a neat design...I like it better than the Atari 2600jrs Atari came out with it 1986. If these had Atari names on them, I bet they'd be more in demand.

  • @sglider Yeah up close it is really a modern looking machine--Thanks on the info and thanks for stopping by.

  • Man this is old school! i've never had this. I didn't have much toys when i was a kid. hey man you got a nice TV! vizio is really awesome, i like that brand. great value.

  • @TheBudgetJedi I still like playing the old games.Santa gave the tv for Christmas in 09--by that I mean I bought it for me and my wife--haha

  • @JeffTheFutureJaros No PS3 here either--Yeah we are still rockin the PS2 also.I have always been a Mario fan,I play Mario Kart online with the Wii.There is a few fighting games you can play online too but just like Mario Kart there is some many online hackers it just takes the fun out of it.

  • What? LOL, I have an Atari 2600 still working myself. The original though, never seen a generic.

  • @JeffTheFutureJaros This is no generic--In the late 80's Sears was such a power house in the catalog market in order to sell through them you had to change your product name.Tele-games was owned by Sears and was just an Atari game renamed just like this console.Imagine today Walmart telling Sony or Nintendo in order for them to sell there product they would be renamed by Walmart. It is crazy to think about this today but it did happen.

  • @maddwoba That's crazy? Well, it's kind of a knockoff of the Atrari, well a clone, but I still never heard of this awesome history lesson. Thanks for the info.

  • Nice man! This is very cool! They don't make them like this anymore. It's hard to bring the next gen systems to a friends house, all the cables, and if they don't have a newer tv with certain ports, well you can't play! THis would be so simple to lug around, and there's four ports! Not used to seeing that on older systems, PS1&2 only had two, or you had to buy an adapter to get four, and only then some games allowed four players. Man, thanks for sharing! I remember when we first got the Atari!

  • @lordexitium Thanks--Your right this one only has an ac adapter and a video cord. This console has the controller ports in front also, the first Atari had the ports in the back of the console. This is still loads of fun to play.

  • Great set up man.You are so luckey bro I wish my parents saved all my stuff from when I was a kid.

Great video look forward to the next one

    take care myfriend

  • @75bp Yeah--They saved quite a bit of things for us ,some of the things are not in the best condition but it is still here for us--Thanks for watching.

  • good that they put the joystick ports on the front where they should be, bad they did not turn the cart slot so that player could see the label; still probably the best designed Atari 2600

  • @maiki60fps Compared to the Atari woody this console looks like a new release--Thanks for watching.

  • Great! I've been watching your videos for the Star Wars figures but I'm a classic game console collector, too. Fun to see this on your channel. How do like the Atari hooked up to a new TV like that? I haven't tried it yet.

  • @TheSentinel3000 Hey man good to hear from you and thanks.I keep the older consoles downstairs hooked to a tube style tv.The Sears has a better video output than the Atari I think,It looks good on a flat screen in a normal view but when you stretch the screen out some of the games look a little strange. It is cool to play online with people around the world with a game console, but these games will never get old to me.

  • @maddwoba @maddwoba Thanks! I couldn't agree more. I have many of the newer systems but find myself always going back to the old Atari games, most often. Great gameplay never goes out of style. I don't even mind the graphics, either, because there is still a little part of me that's still a kid and remembers how amazing they were at the time.

  • @TheSentinel3000 Yeah--The same here too.It is the same thing with me with the older action figures also,I have seen plenty of videos in the last few months where folks are bashing just about all the older figures.I don't get it either because they are comparing a modern figure to a vintage one.The memories are what makes all this special to me and buying a few new things I find interesting along the way.Just think years from now what people are going to say about what we have now.
