You do a brilliant job Brent. I first heard Gene's amazing voice when I was about 8 I saw him for the first time in Derby when I was 18 and my wife also then became a fan. Sadly, he didn't make the last Buxton tour but I was privilaged to have seen so many of his concerts.

Tpviper : you`re so correct. I watched him live in Cambridge in 2003 and he was quite outstanding. I liked that he toured the UK every year,repaying the fans` loyalty ; he was much bigger in the UK than in the States.

Had tickets to see Gene in Bristol, UK the day after he died in Cardiff. One of my great regrets that I never got to see one of the greatest vocalists of the 20th century. Missed seeing him by one day!!

Gene PItney was one of my all time favorites. I was barely a teenager when he was already charting his career. I've noticed that artists that you realize one day you haven't heard any work from them for a long time. There are just a few that keep their career going year after year like Madonna but I've not heard anything of her's in a long time.
