I like guild wars but thing is it never changes they just update builds here and there and some skill updates also embark beach and a few other things. Runescape for me has cooler stuff since they update with new quests,maps,skills,and places to go. Guild wars was good for the first few years and the expansions but it just got boring for me after eotn.

Guild Wars (4/5) 5 Great Storylines, Awesome combat, Good teamwork, Friendly & Helpful Community, but Little to none Off Day things.
Runescape (1/5) No real Storyline, slow combat, no teamwork what so ever, Community not very helpful and has a bad attitude, but a lot of good Off Day things mining, cooking, crafting, etc
RS was ruined bcuz they made the trade rule. now its worse but GW is soooooooooo bad, u cant even work all u can do is kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill and merch.(oh and i frogot you can also kill) and since in GW u pay then lets see the paying part of RS. castlewars owns GVG cuz in castle wars the point is to get the flag, in guild wars, as always all u have to do is kill the other team. to get fast money in rs u can cut trees, fish, mine, and many more in gw u kill.

@OMFGyoyo Who says I haven't seen it? Tbh, I enjoyed RuneScape more before the graphics update. The animations look sort of lame. Every time I play (rarely), I turn the new graphics off. Not only that, the game has been ruined by JaGeX Lmt. over the years and it's just not fun anymore. If they would open their eyes the would notice that the game is nothing more than a botfest simply because they've made the game so unenjoyable.

I used to play runescape back in 2006 for 3 years in a row, and now i play Guild Wars. I still find runescape more fun because you cant really do anything in Guild wars after you done all the missions and quests. Pvp is pretty boring aswell.

Guild wars' gameplay is smooth, fun, and addictive. you put to use many different and interesting weapons, that you can make, or buy. you also utilize many different skillz, which are each unique in their own way. the quests are fun. not annoying. party play is great. no pay by month. and a really good social system. Did I mention the graphics were better???
number 2: i think runescape is a game that a person plays when they are bored, not to be taken seriously. number 3: the majority of the quests are fun. different people like different quests. number 4: the social system is fantastic. personally, i like that u don't meet people outside. you can meet others while travelling in runescape, in guild wars you can't, you have to join up in a town, so its easier to make a few friends on rs, both games have good storylines but all the quests on gw are part of the storyline where as on runescape, certain quests follow a storyline, pvp wise, guild wars is a lot more fun, but both are..
But Friends are easier to obtained at Runescape due to the the fact that you can't meet anyone in the explorable area. I mean, I don't know how other people get flamers. When I joined I didn't meet any flamers. I met a lot of nice people.
The only thing I hated about Guild wars 2 is when I have to make a new character. :(

GW has an income, people buying their games & expansions everyday plus a small cash item shop pretty much just for the people who want to support the game even further. It might not have the massive community of Runescape but I find that a good think since most of the people that play runescape act like idiots. it doesn't lag at all with me.

Im sorry but how can you compare Guild Wars which was top of the line graphics and gameplay to "Runescape". It's really a horrible idea to try and compare a browser based MMORPG to one that isn't browser based. If Runescape wasn't a browser based game, they could improve the graphics much more, even more than they already have, and could have much more content.
gw requires an nvidia geforce fx 5700 with 128 mn i think or 64mb cuzz the 5700 has 64mb and runescape requires a 256 but runescape graphics are fucking crapy for it to be 256mb required on 1444x900 resoultion
actually, it was originally built on a windows 2000. the graphics are extremely high and the requirements are lower than the sims 3! 512mb of ram should do it. 3gigs of hdd also which is like nothing. runescape sucks balls
i have nvidia geforce 7150m 64mb and i run it at max settings at 1444x900 (17" inch) and i get 30 to 25 fps which is good for games like this but there is some graphic bugs i found with texture and anistrofobi filotering and i cant get anti asiling to work

Lol, you 'say' you've beaten all of the Guild Wars games, but if you actually had, you'd notice that I was level 7 in one of the lowest Nightfall zones. I was level 88 in RuneScape at the time, so which was I better at? RuneScape.
but if your playing nightfall odds are you've played prophicies and factions, so you werent new to guild wars, and level 88on runescape takes about, 1 month at the most.
Lol, no... This was my first or second day on Guild Wars. I bought them all at the same time and I just liked the Dervish playstyle more so I went Nightfall, in which, at that time EOTN wasn't in stores yet. And I'd played RuneScape for years before that, I just had limited time for it in between track, soccer, cross country and school.
imo I have had a max out rs character with all the items i could possibly ever have and I have had a maxed out guild wars characters (almost all prof missing derv and para) and I have to say that guild wars is more entertaining. In rs you can simply buy items or spend 10 hours doing the same shit over by yourself or do a task in guild wars which seems to be more fun. It is all just opinion lol
here's something else to add to the cons in RS: bad updates, jagex keeps adding to the game when they could be using the same resources to improve on what is already there for example, they could put the dragon scim appearance back to the way it was before the animation pack update which granted some of the weapons improved by that update really needed it but now its too easy to confuse the dragon scim with a dragon long unless you pay real close attention.
it does get annoying after a while when jagex adds stuff into the game that your probably never gonna use, I played for almost 2 years before jagex gave the straw that broke the camel's back, i had tolerated the lame add ons until I couldnt put up with it anymore, GW on the other hand has yet to throw in a bad update since the Double Dragon nerf.
I still say GW takes the cake while Runescape makes Diablo look like god and I mean the first diablo not the better diablo 2 but thats off subject while RS is addicting jagex nerffed RS so badly its not even funny anymore while GW last I saw a nerf was the Double Dragon while it did get a new feature it stopped hitting twice which is why I used Double Dragon anyway which caused it to clap out 2 successive 98's with my ele's fire magic attribute in half a second.
The mental aspect of gw is outstanding. Countering other people's builds and developing combinations is the shit. GW destroys Runescape, but I definitely like both.
RS woulda been a hell of a lot better if the graphics were tweaked to look a little bit I dunno, believeable and if all those annoying immature 8 year old bastards didnt try flaming every waking hour of the day but yes, GW has so many ways of attacking someone, unlike RS GW actually requires planning meaning 1 wrong move will cost the team dearly and in PVP your gonna get cussed out big time for it but in PVE hope you brought a monk with ya on RS though no skill is required no strategy either.

it almost did when WoW came out and it got closer when it was leaked to the public that GW2 was going to be released, personally I had no problem with RS till jagex nerffed it, I heard they had a contest that I wished I had entered, I woulda stormed the building and taken jagex over and reversed the damage done and placed an age limit to use the normal chat set to anyone 15 or older by maturity not actual age by a quiz.

I have a high lvl char on RS and a few max lvls on GW and I stick with GW all the way due to the lack of stupid idiotic 8 year olds trying to act like their fucking god.
try kneeling at the resurrection shrines in GW, there is only 1 emote that is useful and thats the kneel emote due to the need in a quest and to use the shrines for other effects like morale boosts.
yeah, guild wars and runescape are on way different terms, guild wars actually balances out pvp, in runescape it's basically about who has 99s, not nessicairly any skill required once you have obtained the levels and start smacking each other with whips or scimitars, no strategy there.
In guild wars there's so many ways you can be attacked by someone it's not even funny- people are still making counter builds and people making counter-counter builds and then counter-counter-counter builds.

In Runescape PvP you go to wilderness and punch each other in turns with daggers and compete wich one can eat lobsters with better timing.
In Guild Wars we go to HA and play r spike with vent with all those too complicated strategies to you runescape players...

probably equally rewarding.. graphics wise guild wars tops it but its all about gameplay with most people where runescape wins. guild wars however has some pretty fun pvp play. all in all, both good games, both free to play, guild wars after you buy it, not much nowadays, runescape is free anyways but can cost a month like wow. if you want a gameplay game - runescape, pvp then guild wars maybe.

Guild wars' gameplay is smooth, fun, and addictive. you put to use many different and interesting weapons, that you can make, or buy. you also utilize many different skillz, which are each unique in their own way. the quests are fun. not annoying. party play is great. no pay by month. and a really good social system. you can meet others while travelling in runescape, in guild wars you can't, you have to join up in a town, so its easier to make a few friends on rs, both games have good storylines but all the quests on gw are part of the storyline where as on runescape, certain quests follow a storyline, pvp wise, guild wars is a lot more fun, but both are..

Well, I do like both when I first played it.
Storylines for both are good.
I admit that Guild wars win at Graphics.
But Friends are easier to obtained at Runescape due to the the fact that you can't meet anyone in the explorable area. I mean, I don't know how other people get flamers. When I joined I didn't meet any flamers. I met a lot of nice people.
The only thing I hated about Guild wars 2 is when I have to make a new character. :(

GW has an income, people buying their games & expansions everyday plus a small cash item shop pretty much just for the people who want to support the game even further. It might not have the massive community of Runescape but I find that a good think since most of the people that play runescape act like idiots. it doesn't lag at all with me.
GW is better for the people 17+ who's starting to leave their immaturity behind them and starting to game with a more mature crowd, (not everybody, most)

gw requires an nvidia geforce fx 5700 with 128 mn i think or 64mb cuzz the 5700 has 64mb and runescape requires a 256 but runescape graphics are fucking crapy for it to be 256mb required on 1444x900 resoultion

actually, it was originally built on a windows 2000. the graphics are extremely high and the requirements are lower than the sims 3! 512mb of ram should do it. 3gigs of hdd also which is like nothing. runescape sucks balls

i have nvidia geforce 7150m 64mb and i run it at max settings at 1444x900 (17" inch) and i get 30 to 25 fps which is good for games like this but there is some graphic bugs i found with texture and anistrofobi filotering and i cant get anti asiling to work

I bought them all at the same time and I just liked the Dervish playstyle more so I went Nightfall, in which, at that time EOTN wasn't in stores yet. imo I have had a max out rs character with all the items i could possibly ever have and I have had a maxed out guild wars characters (almost all prof missing derv and para) and I have to say that guild wars is more entertaining. In rs you can simply buy items or spend 10 hours doing the same shit over by yourself or do a task in guild wars which seems to be more fun. It is all just opinion lol

I play both. I like both. Here's a basic comparison.
Guildwars-
Pros: Graphics kill runescape's. Skill dependent versus equipment or level. More dynamic Pvp. Titles. not losing your shit
Cons: The ONLY means of profit or leveling are melee (or running). Limited choice of things to purchase.
Runescape
Pros- well, this could be considered a con, but, losing items makes pvp interesting. SO many things to buy. Constantly things to do.
Cons- graphics, trade limit, 12 year old kids, "NOOB", censor.

here's something else to add to the cons in RS: bad updates, jagex keeps adding to the game when they could be using the same resources to improve on what is already there for example, they could put the dragon scim appearance back to the way it was before the animation pack update which granted some of the weapons improved by that update really needed it but now its too easy to confuse the dragon scim with a dragon long unless you pay real close attention.

it does get annoying after a while when jagex adds stuff into the game that your probably never gonna use, I played for almost 2 years before jagex gave the straw that broke the camel's back, i had tolerated the lame add ons until I couldnt put up with it anymore, GW on the other hand has yet to throw in a bad update since the Double Dragon nerf.

yeah, guild wars and runescape are on way different terms, guild wars actually balances out pvp, in runescape it's basically about who has 99s, not nessicairly any skill required once you have obtained the levels and start smacking each other with whips or scimitars, no strategy there.
In guild wars there's so many ways you can be attacked by someone it's not even funny- people are still making counter builds and people making counter-counter builds and then counter-counter-counter builds.
