Shockadins are good but you can't crit 6k on a Relentness geared ppl (if u are rele too) so its cool to be on a blizzlike pserver or retail cuz on bgs are some non geared ppl and crits just go HIGH! good job bro keep it up shokadins will never die xD

So how does the whole shockadin build work in PVP? Do you play it like a 1h/shield ret pally with a another instant attack and heals? or do you play it like a healer but just with some offense options?

Basicaly, A Shockadin is a Paladin Spell Caster

@blindsyde To answer your question... yes. That's how you play a shockadin.

You play like a 1h/shield ret with another attack and heals... and you also keep an eye on team mates and throw heals out when needed... or be an ass and save all those heals for yourself.

It's a hybrid spec, built to deal damage AND still retain decent healing abilities. The damage doesn't quite compare to ret, but that's because of the heals... could you imagine a ret pally that could heal to full with 1 spell?

I dont know, Ret pallys typically stack str so all the stam they get is from gear and Kings ( only counting themselves ). So thats 29-30k hp in wrathfull? if they stack haste instead and got that holy light under 1 sec, that can fill them right up on occasion and the haste would do wonders for their weapon and seal, Command or Righteous.

5 points to spiritual focus. I duno, I like hybrids. makes you think outside the box.

I've watched quite a few Shockadin PvP vids, and I haven't seen anyone use Shield of Righteousness.. Wonder why. It's Holy damage, too. I would think it'd be a nice addition to a Shockadins damage.

@BragoTaishou incorrect. Paladins benefit from AP and SP. Most of our Attack spells have a higher AP coefficient than an SP one (sans Holy Shock). Holy Shock is designed to hit strong regardless of gear level (so Holy is not getting progressively weaker on all fronts) so having a ton of SP is not needed. The AP from the Ret offsets greatly boosts Exorcism, SoR, ShoR, Consecration etc. Just like Ret, Shockadins have to really on both stats to get the most out of it.

That was nice of you to give me special thanks (Aurico). Most of the misconception as to viability is the fact that it is not as easy to pick up as it was in BC. There is actually a lot more to manage to play a Shockadin effectively, as you demonstrated in the video.

Clean up your Battle text a little because it is a bit distracting. I recomment MSBT for a neat and tidy text layout.

I got a special shockadin spec for 2v2 with my dk friend

31/4/36 this spec is focused oh healing, with repleshment we are never OOM and i heal nearly like my full holy spec!

it's also nice to remove stun with Freedom :)

Really like the spec, may switch my ret to Shockadin after watching this. Personally not a fan of Protret since really it is just as bad as fighting a Protwarrior in PVP.

@kalamari125 But at 70, hardly anyone had resilience unless it was someone who did Arena's or got some welfare's from doing AV nonstop... in Wrath pretty much everyone has resilience when they PvP. Big difference in damage and crits

SoR is nice for getting more damage out of Judgment, but SoV, I find gives you a little more control over a fight,especially when in conjunction w/ Libram of Valiance. SoR has a good SP coeff, but Valiance increases damage from all of your others spell signifacantly.

Offset ( boots,belt and bracers ) are ... RET :), str and CRIT RATING, great stats for Shockadin.

Played with SoR and +426FoL libram.

It seems to rox.

Talents trees will give passive bonuses:

Holy: Healing, spell crit, heal crit

Ret: Reduction Cd + Meele Damage + Meele Crit.

@asd6265 Nope. Sadly they did away with hybrid specs. However, in cataclysm, all paladins can use holy shock. So shockadins are still kind of around... I don't know though. We shall have to wait and see.

Protret is better imo. If you want a really fun spec that isn't gimp, go prot with a good 1h and be in ret gear. You hit harder, have a 30 stun+silence, and you take no damage

Keep in mind, he can put out fast strong heals on his team as well as deal nice damage in a one on one. I play prot pvp myself, and it works excellently. It boils down to play style, this apparently works for him and it looks like a lot of fun to me. I may have to try this out. =)
