I feel bad for Daniel Cosgrove, (Chris Hughes) He originated the role of Scott Chandler on All My Children in the mid-ninties and then left to do 90210. Then After that he did a couple of films, and portrayed the role of Bill Lewis on Guiding Light until it ended in '09, then came on here for a year until it ended and finally went back to All My Children to orginated his role for over 13 years ago and he still stayed till that one ended. Now he's out of a job, what's next for the handsome guy?

@LitttleDreamer I agree with you. I cried big time, because I realised Luke was the only one to end up alone. He should have been together with Reid. The writers not only killed Reid, but they also killed my love for them (the writers). And I think a lot of people will agree with me on this.

The worst Soap Opera Finale I've ever seen.  So disappointing. I was so sad because I watched this show since 1966 when I was 6. Lisa should have been given a proper send off and the last few minutes of this show should have had the entire cast in individual shots saying goodbye with Colin Raye's "In This LIfe" playing in the background or Garth Brook's "The Dance". Luke and Noah should have also been reunited. They owed it to the fans.

I have been reluctant to watch this ending...a part of history has ended. But, I thought the entire episode was beautiful! With each family you know that they are all going to be fine. We were given closure. That is all any series ending can hope to give.

The reason the globe spins at the end is to symbolize even though the show is ending it will continue to spin on like the World, in our hearts, minds, and histories. Sadly we didn't get back together and I kind of couldn't believe that even in soapland two gay guys' first love affair could end with them living happily ever after. Would have been nice it there was some cameos from former cast members. Guiding Light had a few faves show up even if it was only for a few seconds. Guess ATWT couldn't afford it :'(

Another of my favorites, no longer being aired. I always felt like I was a part of Oakdale when I watched the show. A part of the town. I don't like goodbyes, so as Kim said "Goodnight". I miss the show already, thanks CBS for taking away a part of my life :(

This was my mom's favorite show and she was devistated when I told her earlier this year that the show was ending. My mother died from cancer on September 9, so she never got a chance a to watch the finale. Thanks again CBS for taking away another part of my childhood, that and Guiding Light

38 yrs of ATWT for me! It was passed down-my grandmother to my mom to me & what a ride we had as we watched Oakdale, Ill. & all it's interesting characters. I was not unhappy with the finale, just sad that it was ending! I always thought the Hughes', Stewarts' & Snyders', etc. would outlive me & I'm sad they won't be! It will live on though in all of our hearts! The actors I know will be just fine, it is the people of Oakdale I will dearly miss. See ya ATWT's - may you live on in Dvd's!

People stopped watching soaps because most people work during the daytime or died off. Times have changed since a lot in 30 years. Thirty years ago, there were 13 US soaps. Now, there are 6. The numbers have dropped significantly in the past 20 years. Even in the past 10 years! Top rated Y&R has lost almost half its audience in the past 10 years. And with large casts, production and writing teams, soaps are much more expensive than game or talk shows. Sadly, it is just the way of the business.

@Jeffrizel1986 Yep - my friend's cousin works on the set of the CBS soaps and the canceling of ATWT was discussed back in 2007 - which was planned to be canceled in 2008. She also said that they are considering pulling the plug on Y&R and B&B.

Good bye ATWT. In started when Another World ended in the summer of '99, and you are the last gem of soaps that has left the airwaves. No show has ever matches either one. Daytime Soaps are now a memory, but at least they left us with good memories when all was said and done. You wee both loved by me, and many, many others. Thank you for the cross over characters from Another World, as brief as it was - it was a kind gestre well taken by AW fans. Bon Voyage into the sunset !

Since Katie's always been my favorite ATWT character i'm beyond thrilled that she got her happy ending plus love her and Chris ♥. Loved that CarJack got theirs ♥. Bob and Kim ♥. John/Lucinda ♥. This shows how bad this whole ending was. Luke should not have had to ask to hear reid's heart. Chris should have offered. How insensitive can a person be. Chris acted like luke was putting him out. What a JERK! This ending suck. The writers are goiong to look back on this and regret this.
