@willienimmons I too am looking for a larger HDD for my Xbox S as i only have the 4G model, From what ive found unlike the non-slim xbox the Slim will only take Western digital HDDs and these still still hacking with hddhackr with the correct size HDDSS.BIN file. I tried fitting my 320G toshiba from my laptop to my slim, correctly formatted on pc and such bit the console didnt pick it up :(

I bought a 250 GB hard drive long time ago and just bought the Xbox 360 hardrive shell thinking it was the actual hard drive, so I put that 250 hard drive in the xbox shell n hooked it up to the xbox but it doesnt even show up in the memory settings, How do I fix this? or how do I program the hard drive so that it works?

You don't need any software to use the xbox transfer cable... plug in to one drive and plug other end of transfer cable into new drive, and it transfered.. (you can buy transfer cables for $20) official xbox cable. I have a brain, and use it well.. All you do is insult.. INSULT.. and more insult. its a lot more easy with the ps3, any hard drive will work with it and u dont need no special screwdrivers to unscrew them, just a shame my ps3 is fucked up, i now have a 360 and its a lot better i think, even though i now have to pay to play online :( .

Yes any type drive with a FAT partition and USB case will work for music, videos etc but you can't use that drive to store Xbox Live content alright moron. The fall update? I have been using my modded 120GB drive for over a year now with no problems (YES ON XBOX LIVE). And you? Do you even have one? I doubt it. I doubt MS will do anything about this mod they care more about the DVD firmware mods that will allow people like me to play backups. But still they haven't stop people from doing that yet!!
