i love her stage presence!!!! She's sooo charismatic and sooo believable with all her performances!!! Her mother would be proud to this very day of Liza!!! WOW!!!! I looooooove watching her perform!!! And i think it's absolutely fantastic how she's wearing the same green nailpolish as she does in the film :P

great performance. this performance was mid-tour in Australia, the night following 2 big performances at the Sydney Opera House so her voice was strained. her performance was still all class

she had the same surgery Julie Andrews had....Andrews lost her singing voice completely, Minnelli crackles on..she has good days, she has bad days...this wasn't a very good day :-)..her voice is better when it's rested(mostly that happens after yet another minor breakdown), rehearsed and disciplined(which doesn't happen all that often helas)...but hey, It's Liza and people will pay to see her reading the phone book..enjoy

I love her and love her voice but her voice is not as good as Dame Shirley Bassey.

Dame Shirley is 73 years old and her voice is better that ever.

people forget that she's almost seventy , she absolutly brilliant. aned her voice does cracck a bit, buut she has a weird charm that just makes it work for her. and if she hated doing this song so much, why wuld she go on tour, and on idol singing it?

Liza has never been the best singer in the world, but she has charisma, charm, warmth and star quality.Liza is formost an actor, she performs the songs in character, sets the scene and tells a story. I have been fortunate to see this wonderful lady twice in the uk, in 2002 at the Royal Albert Hall and more recently when she toured the UK at the Royal Centre Nottingham. She was outstanding. The audience loved her. Liza you are simply the very best. :-)

She seems drunk here. The voice is cracking. The cigarettes have caught up to her. Liza must hate having to sing this song. She's sung it way too many times in her day. She's just plain sick of it and it shows. It's no longer fresh. Judy Garland's publicist said Garland hated singing Over the Rainbow. I think it's the same deal here.

Well, no, I absolutely disagree. She manages to keep the song fresh each and every time, which makes it more interesting for her to sing. There are moments in this particular performance where you can see she's having fun with it.

@liepinshtein I disagree, it's painful, very painful. Especially when she tries to hit those harder notes that she can't reach or sustain. The voice cracks. It's tough. She should have tried a new way of singing the song. Maybe a softer way. Instead she's trying to sing it like she did 40 years ago.

@liepinshtein ANY singer that's been singing the same songs for 40 years will tell you the same thing. Trust me, they get TIRED of singing the same old songs. Liza at this point of her career knows singing is more about PERFORMANCE than it is the quality of her voice. Fans don't care. Non fans will cringe at this. She's SO MANIC here. You can see she's had a few, to give her courage I assume.

I went to see her concert in Brisbane... she was awesome, spectacular!!! I almost cried when she sang Cabaret and almost yelled out the part: "I AM NOT GOING LIKE ELSIE!!!!" - as you know, she changed that bit from the original song, which was "When I go... I am going like Elsie".... It was an stunning performance for a woman of her age.... LOVE YOU LIZA!!!!
