  • All the time playing the same licks.

  • @jp6l6

Too bad you can't post any better chump. Huh? why don't you turn us on to some of your killer ass blues? Where's your Gibson Les Paul? or your Fender? Fuckin' chump ass punk?

  • @janedoe1024 And we expect countries to get along....

  • One of the best I have ever seen. He just burns it up, more soul than anyone . Great style and feel to his playing. no one duplicates it.

  • Saw him last night---musically, the guy's on another plane of reality...

  • never heard him play better thanks for the post

  • Joder, que passada; si fuese un show porno, tendríamos la gran corrida...

  • Anytime you think you can do better--post it !!

  • @janedoe1024 Don't have sarcasm where you're from, huh? That's too bad. It's a highly effective literary device.

  • Just discovered this dude - awsome!!

  • I started out playing guitar because of R E. 20 years ago. one of most soulful plays ever. he really succeeded in incorperating all the greats (the three Kings, Magic Sam, Otis Rush ... and still came up with his very unique own style

  • one of top five white blues guitarists of all time aong w/ Michael Bloomfield, Roy Buchannon, Duane Allman and Johnny Winter!

  • @sophiesage

    SRV,Joe Bonamassa,Danny Gatton,Bobby Radcliff,Lance Lopez

  • @SRVMOE

great ones too!...althought i wouldn't call Gatton a blues guitarist.......he did blues great but he was into every genre. I'd say he was at his best with his so called "Redneck Jazz" style. I saw him a couple times before he checked out of this mean ol' world!

  • @sophiesage add to that very subjective list our West Coast friends Junior Watson, Kid Andersen and Hollywood Fats.

  • It just doesn't get too much better!

  • religion has no business on a ronnie earl video.

  • sick, theres a lot of clapton in this. a little stevie , but alot of clapton, and a little bb

  • a lot of CLAPTON??

sorry but I hear: T Bone, Magic Sam, BB King but most of all I hear Ronnie Earl..!!

  • @Steavis

    I agree wholeheartedly !!!

  • Well, actually there's whole lot of Ronnie.

  • @Janders52

    Bobby Radcliff,SRV.....Joe Bonamassa,Danny Gatton,Charlie Baty.....

  • @SRVMOE

Actually, one: Bobby Radcliff, Joe Bonamassa, Danny Gatton, styles aren't. quite like this one... two: ask yourself what would THEIR opinion of Ronnie Earl be....Think about that for a while. I've actually met both Danny Gatton AND Roy Buchanan (You heard that right, I grew up in the DC area, Danny practiced down the street from us in Falls Church VA .) but unfortunately they are dead now. Danny died in Newberg Maryland, ever hear of it? Don't talk about what you don't know .

  • I'd like to hear Robben Fords' opinion of him! I bet it damn good!

  • Saw him around '85.

    Best tone. Scary good.

  • "master virtuoso?" Plz.

  • How is he not a master virtuoso?

    He fits the description perfectly!

  • well I'm sure that dork remingtonride can't do any better

  • Are you born-again?,well this is a wonderful thing you folks are blessed to have him there to worship with you!!

  • he goes to my church! :)

  • Was this filmed before or after is "high on drugs" period ?

Nice chops !!! Thanks for posting this video !!!

  • by the look of the band (Rod Carey bass and Per hanson on Drums) would say this is mid 90's and Ronnie was very clean and sober

  • Why does it matter about the "high on drugs" thingie? I guess I'm missing something very signficant here. I thought we we listening to music, not holding court.

  • Nothing important...

But I've notice that Ronnie playing is different from the 2 periods. More sensible, more feelings since he's clean.

    I justed wanted to know.

    Happy ?

  • He's FRIKKIN AWESOME!!!!!! -

    Thanks for posting.

  • Ronnie Earl is one of the all tie guitar greats. One of my top three, along with Roy Buchanan and Danny Gatton.

  • Ronnie Earl is great Another Roomful l guitarist that deserves recognition Robbilard and Vauchon should be checked out as well

  • Superb!

  • Thanks!!! Ronnie is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!
