A "psychopath" is a mental disorder. It is a sickness, just like cancer. They are not sadistic. As far as dominance and fun are concerned, I think you will see if you research the topic that most killers do "it" because they feel hey have to, the same as needing to use a restroom. Most of them are simply unable (literally incapable) of experiencing remorse, due to a unique chemical "imbalance." They are people too and many of them have been proven to have exceptionally high IQ's.

@MHart86 I think you'll find that sadism's defined as the derivation of pleasure as a result of inflicting pain or watching pain inflicted on others. This applies to most serial killers e.g. BTK, Gacey, Bundy, Gein, Dahmer etc. Convicted killers have been judged legally sane, meaning that they could distinguish between right and wrong and were in control of their behaviour. Although a few do have high IQs, many have low intelligence e.g. Gary Ridgway, Coral Watts, Aileen Wuornos and John Gacey.

It holds true that for the hundreds of serial killers that we know about; on average, they come out ahead in IQ. It's not just a few throwing the curve out. The ones that are, perhaps, known for their intelligence, such as Bundy, Unterwger, Schaefer or Kemper, simply aren't that much higher on the IQ-scale than the average person so as to account for what you suggest.

I'm unsure how you would have come to this conclusion after even the briefest foray into the literature on the subject. What you've said is not only wrong, it's not reflected in any reasonably recent study of psychopathy at all.

You are conflating two distinct entities: psychopaths who murder and those who do not. Those that do are, almost without exception, driven by their natural sadism.
