My boyfriend's cat is fat. His literal name is FatAss. He named the kitty when he was a child. I honestly love FatAss. He's so relaxed and calm, and whenever I'm cold, I don't need a blanket. Just FatAss to keep me warm. :D

Oh what a sweetheart! She isnt THAT fat! And it can be hard to make them loose weight, but I really hope you keep trying.. Aslong as she can hunt and clean herself its okay. Stop calling this little cat fat, people. Sometimes cats are prone to getting things wrong with their digestive systems and it affects their weight no matter how much they eat. It's upsetting when people see the cat outside or whatever and you hear them say "what a fat cat!" and they assume the owner overfeeds them. Because the owner tries their best to look after them and take them to the vet to see what's wrong. Anyway this video is cute.

Had a pretty Calico like this myself over 20 years ago:) She was the Grand Matriarch of a cattery my family used to own. She cleaned out all the rats and we called her Killer Kate, but after she had her 2nd litter, we started calling her "Big Momma". She got chunky, just like yours, but during bonfires (we lived out in the woods in '88) she would crawl into the lap of whoever was there, and proceed to tell us about her day. I sure do miss the old gal ^_^! Thanks for sharing!

@TadaKiba Hmm, not yet, my cat is about 10 or so. I know some cats have problem after that or around 13. I try to keep my cat active by making her run up and down the stairs a couple times or just play with her. I'll probably get her check again in another year or too. i just had her checked last year and the vet said she was in good health despite the weight. loL! I check for the symptoms for ay problems so, she's quite fine right now ^^

My dad and I try to keep it moderated (breakfast, lunch,dinner, late night/or afternoon snack)

@wladislaw79 these cats can only be female, they are tortose shell, or torrties for short, you will never see a male cat like this. its not possible for a male cat to be this way. i have a girl cat like this called nom nom nomlette, after the sound she makes when she eats! nom nom nom ! she is just the best cat ever! she loves to sleep on my bed with me and my girlfriend, she is purrrrrfect!

Well, ruling out other medical problems that can cause obesity (thyroid issues, etc) I'd suggest portion control over free feeding (if you don't do it already). Also, the guides on the cat food bag are NOT accurate! Your vet can show you a proper portion for your cat. Also, your cat is ADORABLE!
