  • Can someone tell me how to differentiate between a real and fake omega rail? seeing some cheap ones on gunbroker and ebay but i cant tell if they are real or not.

  • @H4v0kksh0tgunMan I also saw the really cheap ones on eBay. There's no way you're finding a real one for less than $215. I think the cheap ones are for airsoft

  • How is this a free floating rail when it still utilizes the delta rings and front sight post assembly? 0:03

  • @Kliffton415 It uses the delta ring, but not the front sight post.

  • i have this rail on my bushmaster 6.8. they sit rock solid. well worth the money.

  • zzzzzzzzzz

  • uhh no there not buddy, hence the different nomenclature.., are you telling me that a m16 bolt carrier group and a ar15 bolt carrier group are the same thing, are you saying that a complete trigger assembly are the same in m16 and ar15, hell, even the hammer is different., im done argueing with you slim,,,, i was right, u were wrong., quit goin around tryin to tell people there wrong unless your always right, thats all im sayin, n yes., a certified one at that....

  • @MultiSr16 I Know There's A Difference Between The M16 And The AR-15 I Don't Know Why I Said Their The Same I Was Tired Okay

  • @danrtopp yea its cool man., alls forgiven.,

  • @MultiSr16 The M16 is the Military designation for a particular specfied AR15.

  • @1ohtaf1 yes i kno, and im also aware that there are lowers stamped m16 and ar15 on the same lower

  • @MultiSr16 Yeah that and Recievers stamped with AR15 does not mean they are semi auto, there are fully auto ar15 lowers.

  • whats up with that takedown pin.., tensioning one>?

  • they do make piston versions, i have a CMMG 16" upper and installed one of their piston ones on there. very nice

  • Does anyone really need the rail slots to be indexed or painted, or does anyone actually use those number indexes?

  • This was way easier than a free float! I punched too many holes in my wall installing mine haha! It was worth the headache though. Looks sexy and shoots true.

  • A 223, a sweet a 16,

    Fuck you.

  • that rail looks strange on an A2

  • @SamuraiPie8111 That Wasn't An M16A2 It Was An M16A1

  • @danrtopp same damn thing man., wow the sight and the teardrop..., and its not a m16 either buddy

  • @MultiSr16 There's A Few Differences Between The M16A1 And The M16A2. And It Is An M16A1 Assault Rifle With Picatinny Rails. Study Your Rifles Man

  • @danrtopp yeah buddy, just what i said., the sight and the teardrop., thats the differences, read my reply., i told you the differences ., and ive shot both when i was in the army for 6 yrs., so i think i kno plenty about my rifles.,.and again like i said in my original repley, this IS NOT a M16

  • @MultiSr16 It Is An M16A1 Assault Rifle There's No Mistake I Could Tell By The Carrying Handle

  • @danrtopp an A2 has a fixed carry handle as well.., and its not a m16 because its not select fire., its an ar15., and the only diff in A1 and A@ is rear sight is different, teardrop forward assist, triangle handguards, different pistol grip, and non chrome lined barrel., so pretty much no difference., but uhhh yeah, this is not a m16

  • @MultiSr16 Duh I Know The M16A2 Has A Fixed Carrying Handle It Is An M16A1 Bud. It Has A Selector Switch

  • @danrtopp jeez man u realy are an idiot., not a selector switch.., hahaha, i said if youd freakin read right.., SELECT FIRE>< which means its either fully automatic or 3 rd burst., this one is neither., SO IT IS A AR15

  • @MultiSr16 Your Idiot Here Not Me It's An M16A1 Assault Rifle Selector Switch Has Safe Semi And Auto And The M16A1 Is NOT A 3 ROUND BURST. The M16A1 Is Semi And Full Auto The M16A2 Is Semi And Burst The M16A3 Is Semi And Full Auto The M16A4 Is Semi And Burst. So Look Up The Damn On Google Or Go Ask A Gun Smith

  • @danrtopp I AM A GUNSMITH buddy., ahha, yea i kno exactely what ur sayin jus didnt feel like typin it all out.,ill say it once again., THE rifle IN THIS video is an AR15., not a m16

  • @MultiSr16 Their The Same Weapon Bonehead

  • @MultiSr16 Gunsmith Are You Bullshittn' Me ? AR-15/M16 Same Weapon Bonehead

  • @MultiSr16 You do realise there are fully automatic AR15s which are not stamped with M16 on the lower.

  • @1ohtaf1 yes im well aware of that

  • I just finished putting together my Colt. The 7 inch Omega rail is the route I went and could not be happier. Highly recommend this rail.

  • i have a 16 inch barrel on my upper receiver, what type of Omega rail should i use? carbine? Mid-length?

(be nice, im building an ar from scratch)

  • @venomouseye That depends on the gas system your AR-15 uses. If it's a carbine gas system, then the carbine rail. If it's the mid-length gas system, then the mid-length rail.

  • lol i feel so stupid right now. my upper says "Mid-Length" and i was sure i had a carbine size gas system. thanks for the help.

  • If this is a FF HG why did he have to use a tool to install it? Is it touching to gas block? If it is, its not a FF HG is it?

  • no its not touching the block... That tool that he was using was to connect it to the internals of the delta ring to the rail so it is FF. I have one and it really does not touch the block, it's got about a sheet of paper gap to it.

  • @3mealsaday that is very very bad! If you give your rail a tap with a rubber mallet, it WILL contact the block, and that is a no-no. it needs to have a lot more clearance than that. I'm sure you are using the original pinned block. It takes a serious amount of dremeling to get a standard block to properly fit under an Omega rail, but it can be done. Best bet is to get a very very low profile block from a reputable manufacturer.

  • @Steindori I did use a low pro gas block made by troy industries. I didnt just make one fit. Besides its the kind that has the screw that run through the taper pins anyway. So I am no worried about it knocking the block out of position.

  • @3mealsaday still, if the rail is able to touch the gas block it is bad juju. Also make sure you use locktite on the gas block and hit it with a sharpie for witness marks to make it bomb proof.

  • @Steindori I know, I am apprentice gunsmith. I know about all the little secrets. My teacher showed me everything with the secrets, really I think most of them are boring and pointless. I personally like paintpens because they just wash off easy.

  • @unclefreakinmike Technically it is a FF, but you can't really tell unless you really look up close. Very misguiding, it does indeed look like its a standard railed handguard. IMO, the lite series of DD's rails are better, although more expensive

  • I put these rails on my AR a while ago and let me tell you I am 100% satisfied. I'm getting another AR in the near future and I'm sticking to a sure thing. Daniel Defense all the way.

  • I would greatly recommend the DD Omega system you can install it without a gunsmith

  • i have a free float hand gaurd on my bushmaster ar 15 and how do i remove that cause i wana put a 4 rail on it? ppl tell me i need a special tool..do i?

  • well dude if you dont know how to take apart your firearm that you should not own it !

  • i know how to take it apart and i know the regular hand gaurds in the vidoe need the wrench but i got a free floating tube and its got a diffefent type of lock on the back and idk if i need a wrench cause its a one peice tube er what i have to do..and i bought the gun 2nd hand so i dint get an owners manul and i need to clean my gas tube so i need to find out how to get it off..and i know how to operate and use and take an ar 15 apart buts its just the weird free floating tube that idk about!

  • Unlike some people...I'll be helpful for ya! Most AR with front sight tower will make things A LOT harder to install FF HG, you will literally need to "rip off" the gas block/sight tower...take off the gas tube...wrench off your barrel...remove your delta ring, and the rest is self-explanatory it is up to your FF adapter that will hold your FF HG directly mounting on your barrel nut. Then reverse the process.

  • Sorry I mean "FF adapter will be replacing your barrel nut" not "mounting on"...blaaahhh!

  • But for me? I can get and change my gas block sight anyday so I won't mind cutting off the sight tower and make it a low profile-ish gas block instead...this way I wouldn't have to disconnect it from the barrel which I found it to be pretty hard to do.

  • Do you have a free float tube underneath your hanguards? Like for CMP shoots? You need to take that free float tube off, and for that you will probably need to take the FH, FSB, and barrel apart.

  • Are you asking Dammmj?

  • what are you talking a free float tube? you mean rail? or are you talking about the gas block?

  • beautiful rifle. pity all weapons are illigal over hire :/

  • I have the New Omega X 12in. rail. if you want it...contact me in mail.

  • Would There be enough space for a piston conversion kit?

  • @nbenicewicz Depends on what system your running. Many are different. I believe daniel defense makes a rail for piston uppers. Dont quote me though.

  • @nbenicewicz Some Daniel Defense rails are now designed for piston conversions. Just check which ones your piston kit recommends.
