  • ur the man!

  • jesus...that thing is slow as cold honey.

  • you seriously turbo'd a d17? and an LX at that? Fucking moron.... what a waste of money.

  • @dawhitecastle dont hate men know days you can boost anything lol with the right set up men even with 5psi men there a big difreance men what you drive

  • All of y'all are nothing but a bunch of dumb fucks that's nothing but a gas sipper and you throw a turbo on it? Idiot. I have an 02 and its the slowest car I've ever driven and owned.

  • I have a 01 civic too and I really wanted to turbo it but I don't trust alot of mechanics. And if u don't mind telling me. How much did it all cost. And did u get a eBay turbo set up? Do u think it worth it. Or should I go wit nos. Thanks bro

  • how much did it cost for turbo?

  • how much hp does a turbo kit usually add>?

  • mines a standard, stock 127 horsepower

  • you must have dropped your boost down some eh , seems a bit slower from 80 then what i remember (its gordon by the way )

  • turbo on a lx nice!

  • i have a stock d17a2 =]

  • What turbo set-up did ya go with? I'm thinkin about goin GodSpeed on mine

  • have this same car, except its stock...and its my moms....and its purple.....all 115 hp of it hahah. it pulls!!! (jk, u feel nothing on ur back when u floor it) do u know how much hp u have now?

  • @xXxDANMANxXx at most i had 200 hp..when the weather was right. now i just removed the turbo and have a d17a2 in it..just put it in with a bunch of upgrades...gona get that tuned with the ems, see what i can get outta the stock motor..kinda excited to see what happens..lol..although it won't be a turbo car, it's gona be cheaper in the end.;)

  • @COUPAINTBALL yea, i would totally buy that turbo kit if i had the money ur car is fast as fuck compared to mine

  • @COUPAINTBALL nice car man she sounds good

  • @xXxDANMANxXx i drive a civic...its got a little bit of giddy up. you just gotta know exactly when to floor it

  • i hope i get one, im looking at a used one with 120,000 on it, im just gonna get a cheap turbo kit for it with a small turbo for a little more pep.

  • My wife has a 2004 civic lx. I cannot imagine myself building such a w car. Although it is faster than all the other generation before it, it's too slow of a platform to start with. even the newer one's are not worth the money. but if it's the body style that you like and want to make it fast it's up to you. but for me I like to build upo something in the neighborhood of 400hp stock. Starting up higher it doesnt take much to make it faster.

  • @ehcivicracer If you want 400hp. buy a real car. Camaro LT1 your already 3/4 the way there... stock

  • @RiceKiller191 na, too unreliable and shitty on gas. don't wanna be replacin everything in the first 2 years.

  • @19thepyrochilibean Depends if you take care of it properly

  • @RiceKiller191 but ofcourse a kid is gonna be rough on it.

  • Would you mind posting some numbers? (If you've been dyno'd). Thank you.

  • whp around 160 and tourque around 170 from 1800 rpms to 6500..

    T25 on a d17a1 at around 9 lbs.

after my d17a2 build it will be higher..

hp isn't so high but didn't need it high, the tourque is insane for street driving it's just right..

  • @COUPAINTBALL do you have a turbo on the d17a2 yet?

  • I checked out Dezod. They just had some misc parts for a turbo kit. Please help me out grandmaster. What the hell do I need to turbo my ride????

  • you need a walbro fuel pump (dezod), you need AEM EMS 1030. or AEM FIC. Ems is way better. You need a AEM Eugo wideband setup wich you can wire into your ems, you need a 2 and a quarter inch exhaust system at least, boost gauge (buy one anywhere), AEM map sensor to replace your stock, ..that set up should do you. if you run a t3 or bigger, you'll need external waste gate, boost controller, down pipe, etc...add me to msn if you want..o_peters4...at....hotmail

  • damn ..my first reply is missing and lost all of it...lol...just add me on msn, and i'll help you out..

at the moment I am actually building a new d17 vtech turbo..maybe I'll document it for you..

  • Nice How much was the turbo kit?

  • because it is a unique engine to turbo charge, i spent alot of money on the build. But if I did it again with no mistakes, around 5000-5500 i think

  • you paid that much for the turbo kit.. i paid only 1500 for stuff.. all name brand parts. made the piping myself. i also had a bigger turbo than you as well pushing much more power.. you paid way to much.. yes i drive a d17 as well

  • that's very good man.. i have a aem ems that cost almost 1500 bucks...so there is not really a comparison to what i spent on my car and what you spent on your car. also it is way easier to tune a bigger turbo because of turbo lag and late spool time. easier to manage fuel. also I built mine when there was little to no support anywhere to build something like that in my area. Either way, if a 1500 $ turbo set up works for you, GREAT. :) Hope it lasts you.

  • I dont have it anymore i sold it for 3grand.. i dropped a k20 in my car. fucking love it

  • Hell yeah mean. I LOVE, no seriously, LOVE my D17. Always in front of traffic. Looks good, runs great, great mileage. Check me out man. car sponsors dot come slash busyallen

  • thanks buddy.. I checked your page out.. very nice car bro..

  • very nice. sounds good too nicely done

  • thank you very much..

  • How long do properly tuned turbos last, the T25 ones, I am thinking about a garret t25 turbo.

  • i have a t25 actually..lot more initial boost and throttle response than the bigger ones.. i have had it in my car for a year now..stored during winter however. first off, how much money will you invest, who will you be buying from...? there are a lot of things I wouldn't do building a turbo..and alot of experience gathered over the past fiew years...let me know what you need, I'll try and help you along your way..

  • Ok, sounds good mate thanks for the help, I am wondering though if its worth it for a turbo if I have an automatic?

  • yes it is worth it.. I'd rather a standard but auto works fine..Check out dezod motorsports on the web.. they are D17 specialists...

  • My engine has stock internals and is boosting up to 11lbs.. ( with a t3-4 i could only boost at possibly 6-8 lbs). You need injectors, AEM map sensor, and a fuel management system. i recomend the AEM EMS.. if you'd like some more information.. I will help you any way i can..

  • Hey, I have the same car only its the EX, I was wondering how long the turbo lasts, on it basically is it breaking down the engine? what level psi are you running? And finally is it an automatic? I want to turbo my civic as well and I wanted to know some things before I do.

  • turbo should last a long time if properly tuned. its a 5 speed. 10-11 psi.
