    The address is a Class A, not C, that is why we didn't start with a class C mask. The mask is used to specify which part of of an octet (8 bit chunk) is used for the network address, and which portion is left over for the host address.

  • Could you explain using a table with columns for subnet, host & broadcast addresses from left to right.

    I understand, we first determine subnet address range, then deduce broadcast from that, and then fill up the string with host addresses.

    I was looking for some video on subnetting Class A & finally fouind your video. Thanks
