They have duped the citizens countless times in history as declassified docs and whistleblowers etc will show. The government has lost all credibility. It has been proven. Documents show how CIA evidence was edited. Government officials admitting they manipulated information. There are countless whistle-blowers (also ex CIA). As I've said before--I don't really care WHY we invaded Iraq at all. Making war on Muslims is never a bad thing in my opinion. They were celebrating in the streets of Baghdad after Sept. 11th--that kind of disrespect deserves a good slap across the face.

And I'm pretty sure we had no fly zones and airbases for you know... surveilance planes.If what you say is true we would have called on Israel to attack those WMDs after all they are now at a much more threatening location.So sorry I just don't buy your account of the story.Try again and this time use logic.

the truth is that after we kicked saddams ass in 91, U.N. sanctions were placed on iraq. these requirements included weapons inspectors regularly checking the country. defiance of this would result in removal of saddam. that is why the war started. and people seem to forget the scuds they were firing into kuwait city, on the first day of the war, scuds which were in breach of the weapons sanctions placed after the last war (which started because of the slaughter of 1/2 million kurds, needlesly)

oldstock our intelligence assets and many others were well aware of the wmd's iraq had were spoiled reserves of either ricin or sarin gas (i can't remember which) and we knew they were bad because we (the u.s.) sold them to hussein. netflix a few documentaries about the war and you will find disturbing facts that show the war was predetermined and unjust. Tell me you wouldn't be mad if another country ran around the U.S. murdering civilians (600,000) and then tell me you wouldn't care.

if america is there for the oil, why is there an oil shortage? why are the government trying to reverse bans on mining the sea off the coast, so they can get oil without having to pay thru the nose for it? i think they should take oil from iraq, war aint cheap, and we got rid of saddam for them, so i say they owe for that. and i have family who have been to basra and afghanistan, and they both agree that most civilians love the troops being there, and the fact that saddam is gone

A policy of containment, exactly like we used to bring down the Soviet union wil help--but we've got to be proactive too. I think you are GRAVELY underestimating A: The pervasiveness of hatred toward the west and the United States in particular, and B: The percentage of the Muslim world who are willing to commit acts of violence agaist us.
