Roberts looks like he was drinking heavily during the time of this video. I know that bloated, pale look anywhere. Compare his look to that of just a few months prior. He looked much healthier.  No wonder WWF jobbed him out and sent him packin to wcw.

@hubertgreen Jim Powers WAS in a tag team in the 80s, called The Young Stallions. It wasn't until the early 90's did he turn into a jobber for the WWF. A damn good worker.

Powers wasn't very good at personality or wrestling so he hit the skids.

Jack Tunney, who was the WWF President at the time (WWF President is the same thing as GM of Smackdown, that Playboy chick on WWECW who makes the matches, and the guest host of Raw), banned Jake from bringing a snake to ringside after his cobra bit Macho Man, What really happened was the snake died after it bit Macho Man and I guess they figured that since it bit Macho Man, it was dangerous to have a snake at ringside, so they decided, or Jake the Snake decided, not to get a new one.

They say that once an animal bites into human flesh, you have to kill it, especially a poisionous snake. It didn't die once it bit Macho Man, but when they went backstage after everything was all over, someone had to call animal control and have them take the snake, and when the people from animal control got the snake, they killed it.

Jim Powers never got his due(except for his breif Young Stallions period). The guy was always cheered. I saw him in New Zealand in 1990 and he was cheered more than anyone on the show. Don Muraco and Dynamite Kid were on the same card. They could've done more with him for sure.
