PMU means pregnant mare urine. Basically, there is a business where people impregnate mares, have them stand around in a big barn, and then collect their urine and extract a certain hormone from it for use in menopause supplements. (Someone can correct me if I'm wrong) So, the babies generally are feral and need homes, so good for RavensRanch for adopting him! He's a good'n! :)

@TheSofieLee yeah at my barn we just call it free jumping..I know everyone else might have there own opinion what free jumping really is, but at my barn we free jump to train them. That includes jumping high, jumping long, jumping correctly, striding to the jump, and speed to the jump.

The PMU (pregnant mare urine) mares are bred nonstop and kept in horrible conditions and their foals are usually sent to slaughter or killed somehow, since there is no use for them on the PMU farms, especially the colts. PMU stand for "pregnant mare urine" the urine has a natural chamical that people use in a variety of menopuase medicine. but it's quite tragic because these people get mares pregnant just to get their urine and when the foal is born they are usually sent to slaughter so the mare can get pregnant again. these foals are called PMU foals.

I really appreciate all the wonderful comments. I purchased Raven at 9 months old from Lucky 7 Ranch in St. Alphonse, Alberta CAN. They are still a part of the NAERC and still breed quality horses.

Raven definately has a talent for jumping. This picture was taken as he was ground schooling. He didn't jump like this daily, we were just trying to see what he was willing to do.

I sold him to a family in Idaho where he gets tons of love and attention. RTaven now enjoys playing "Horse Soccer"

At the time, Raven was just learning to work under saddle on long lines and in the round pen. The round pen is a safe school environment with nothing for the horse or equipment to get caught on. Eventually he was started jumping under saddle with a rider but I have not posted a video of that. Raven has since been sold and is being loved and ridden in Idaho. He LOVES to play horse soccer!!
