  • Actually, many whitening toothpastes (eg. Colgate Total Whitening) use an abrasive ingredient (eg. silica) which removes surface stains from teeth purely by mechanical action and give the appearance of whitening.

    The distinction is between stain removal (abrasive) and bleaching (peroxide).

  • u know some toothpaste has sodium lauryl sulfate wich has been linked to calcers or something like that. cant remember the name. but its bad for you lol :)

  • @OurLastNamesRhyme im not sure about cancer, but its the same thing they put in most shampoos. it really strips the hair of moisture. it can also irritate your skin, including inside your mouth and cause canker sores.
