  • @druss675 Wow, that's really kind of you, as this is one of those covers I wouldn't mind doing over again. These days I prefer triggering drum sample software instead of using the V-Drum sounds. Thanks.

  • @mperry60 Thank you for watching.

  • Holy cow!! that sounded very very good , you're really good... How did you record your drums?? are you using some kind of interface or something??

  • @arnold9012 Thanks for checking it out. All you need to know is in the video's description. Just audio out from Roland to the camcorder.

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk, nao fico muito bom.. muito alto o som da tua batera.. e inventasse muito

  • @CleytonGuitarra The drums are prominent because it's a "drum cover". So you don't play drums very well?! ...ok, well maybe it's not your calling or you should practice more.

  • confira o baterista Astor Rocha de Santa Cruz do Sul - RS muito bom

  • na parte de tons fico suada mais o resto tah loko

  • @viniokio Even using Google Translate you guys from Brazil make some very puzzling comments.

  • Im inspired!!!!!! Is there any good websites you recomend that has drum notes for hillsong's

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK :)

  • I never heard of the band Muse, I will check them out.

But thanks again for this good video, keep up the good work!

  • what kit is that please reply!

  • @xDannFTW Please read the video Description, it's all there. Thanks.

  • Which kit 1, 2, 3, metal, vpro, studio, techno, tr-808, etc.

  • @fatsojiggy007 It's a VExpression kit, not one of Roland's. And it's also one that I modified.

  • What instruments/sounds are you using for each trigger? I like the sounds and want to know cause I play this song thrusday so can you feedback quick. Also what number overall i can't make out what it says is that a 1?

  • @fatsojiggy007 I'm using a TD-20 Roland V-Drum module that was upgraded to TDW-20 with the Roland Expansion card, it is triggering settings for a 3rd party developer called: VExpressions. Sorry but I don't know what you are asking in your 2nd question.

  • I love the Drum beats of Haste the Day's drummer.........but........I'm not going to use it in a service. I just think there is a place and time for everything.

    Peace.

  • @MrTwinsrule Will have to check that band out. This beat is a "syncopated pattern used in "funk" music, wasn't aware it was used in "heavy metal". Anytime we get up on a stage we are drawing attention to ourselves, pastors "draw attention" when they preach, nothing wrong with it of itself, it's what we do while the attention is on us is what is the issue, & essentially it should be on God, not us. Use what skill God has given us, see Lincoln Brewster on this matter. Ck out Gospel Chops players.

  • @MrTwinsrule Depends on what kind of church/kind of music is. We did a cover of grace like rain where during the last verse, the keyboard player dropped the octave and it sounded really heavy, so I switched a heavy floor tom beat kind of like the one in "Time is running out" by Muse, except a bit slower for the last line. It sounded absolutely fantastic. Before that I was playing quarters on a china while holding a standard 4/4 beat, sounded very metal. But it worked great for what we were doing

  • The way the drum arrangement is in this song is way too over the top.... imo . I'm a drummer too, and love cool beats, but I am not using for instance, a "Chevelle drum lick" in the Church service. Great job btw.... but If the drummer has to be the focal point of any song in a praise and worship service............., I am a passing! I do not wish to offend.

    Peace.

  • @MrTwinsrule Good to hear from you & your view on this matter. What is a "Chevelle drum lick"? The drum pattern is the opening focal point that sets up what is to come, then it's the whole band, the drummer does not continue to be the focal point. The drum set is perfectly legit in its use as an instrument, no different than say a guitar or keyboard or vocal in it's role. Psalm 150:5 "praise Him with the clash of cymbals, praise Him with resounding cymbals." God is not offended with drums.

  • @MrTwinsrule im curious as to what is over the top in this?

  • likee it

    :)

  • in the beggining what beats are the snare drum?

  • @Chuberlovesguatemala the 2nd beat; the "and" of 3rd beat; and the "e" and "uh" (2nd and 4th 1/16th notes) of the 4th beat.

  • Rythmantic could you send me a piece for the drum solo?

You just made me realize it's not all base drums!(relief for my foot)

  • @kyoranlee

Here's a good tutorial on the song:

Drumworkshop Hillsong - Mighty To Save (do a You Tube search)

  • I AM FREE-NEWSBOYS

  • @akadylan Dig the Newsboys, seen them so many times at Spirit West Coast.. Is that a request?

  • @rhythmantic You bet! haha

  • @rhythmantic Yaymen! I'll look into it. Have you covered it?

  • ooh ok bro God bless you

  • @LINKTOMA let me know if I could ever be of help.

  • how u get the song without the drum sound? so u can play over the song?

  • @LINKTOMA It's not a drumless track, I am playing over the originally recorded drum track.

  • Great job! Having troubles getting this vid format to playback on my iPhone/iPad ;-(

  • @stikkman61 Thanks. don't know why it won't run on your iStuff, it's a typical video format created by an Apple app.

  • Virtual Studio Technology Instruments or VSTI. It can be drums. Eg; Steven Slate Drums

Thx for watching mine. But that's not me playing. lol

  • @ransisua I trigger on occasion SSD, Superior Drummer, and Addictive Drums -it sounds much better than the Roland.

  • hmm, you don't use VSTi anymore? Nice job BTW

  • @ransisua I've always used VDrums, never had VST. Thanks for listening and commenting. I liked your video, good drumming.

  • very cool dude :] nice drumming

  • @AbreValas Hey thanks for listening/watching and commenting. I like your channel, it's got some good stick spinning vids.
