  • vrey slow pc you have

  • @MichaelYoshiFan Not true.

  • @henrihe for you

  • @MichaelYoshiFan And it works quite fast after the Windows XP Mode has been loaded. You can't expect operating systems to load in just seconds. There are many gigabytes of data to read from the HDD. If you have a super fast HDD like I have at the moment (mean read speed ~100 MB/s), it would still take about 10 seconds to read a single gigabyte of data from the HDD. Slow? Maybe, but I don't expect normal people to have faster machines...

  • Reageren op deze video... slow windows xp mode as hell

  • @MichaelYoshiFan That is because virtualization is generally quite slow. That's also an early version of Windows XP Mode, so that might also explain it.

  • My partner and i installed Windows7 on my own notebook computer and it works beautifully. I dled it via Windows7FreeDLXcom (replace X with . ) and it worked instantly.

  • @emiborges44713 Your partner? What business are you in? I'm in the insurance racket.

  • It's really nice but it's super slow.

  • no offence but all it is is a virtual pc

  • dude i hate it that everyone hate vista/7 but they haven't even tried it! FUCK Off!

its like hating vista became a natural thing to do,lol

  • 7 & Vista can suck my dick, xp x64 ist best ! ;)

  • How do you get VirtualBox then? I already set up my computer to VirtualPC since I download the file from the Microsoft website.

  • Here you can download it: h t t p : / / w w w . v i r t u a l b o x . o r g / w i k i / D o w n l o a d s

You can have both VirtualPC and VirtualBox installed at the same time. You cannot use Windows XP Mode in VirtualBox, but you can install Windows XP in VirtualBox. You need the Windows XP install disc. Basically you just "boot" the VirtualBox with your Windows XP CD in your CD drive and then you can install it.

  • @henrihe i have window 7 64bit home basic. so what is window 7 RC ???? i dont get it?? what is RC??? please explain to me thanks

  • @ji3200 RC = Release Candidate. It is an old (test) version of Windows 7 and it doesn't work anymore, because of the time limits. Your Windows 7 version is newer (and better) than the RC version.

The RC version was downloadable from Microsof over half a year ago, so people could try it, test it and report all the bugs they can find. This stage is now over.

  • @henrihe after RC now RTM so i dont have to download right?? by the way, does window 7 64 bit compatible with most of old pc games 2003- 2008 without xp mode??? thanks for reply

  • @ji3200 RTM is the "best" version, so you don't have to download anything for Windows 7 at the moment.

Probably most of the games will work. You can try to change the compatibilty settings to "Windows XP" or "Windows Vista" in the executable file's settings, if the game won't start.

Windows XP Mode is not good for games, because Direct3D doesn't work in Virtual PC, I think.

  • @henrihe wow you are the great replyer. one last question, so i just got a window 7 64 bit home basic which dont have xp or vista mode i think professional has that mode but not home basic. by the way do i have to download RTM because i just got a window 7 ?? thanks you

  • @ji3200 Home Basic doesn't have XP Mode, I'm afraid.

Your Windows 7 version is RTM. All the other versions are so rare that it is very improbable to encounter them. They won't sell non-RTM versions or install non-RTM versions for customer computers. non-RTM is mostly for software developers. You don't have to download anything, but Windows will let you know when there is a new Service Pack for Windows 7. You should download and install that when it is availabe. It is probably months away...

  • @henrihe thank you very much for your answer!!!!

  • @ji3200 You are welcome.

  • @henrihe My friend has this CD, and he can't run it on window 7 because the cd runs only with 16bit processor. His processor is 64bit, and I was wondering will installing VMlite work ? Also, will this take alot of space?

  • Does Windows 7 in XP mode can play any XP games if I use 64-bit operating system of my Windows?

  • @ChanSSJ4 VirtualPC does not support DirectX games. Try VirtualBox instead.

  • does the win 7 rc 64bits version, accept more than 4gb of ram ?

  • Yes, it does. Of course, it is possible that your motherboard doesn't support over 4 gigabytes of RAM.

I have heard that the maximum amount of RAM for 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate is 192 GB.

  • i dont think that i got the asus p7p55d pro socket 1156 core i5 procesor 4 gb of ram and win 7 rc 64bits, but shows 4 gb ram but just 2.99 gb can be usable

  • Hmm. Weird.

Maybe you could try BIOS update and the check up the BIOS settings...

  • I like VMware Player 3 better. It has 3D support, multi-processor support, and better performance. And, it's free!

  • True, but I'm not sure, if it is possible to run Windows XP Mode in VMware. Probably not. It needs the Windows Remote Desktop Connection anyway...

  • "Virtual PC emulates the following environment:

Intel Pentium III (32-bit) processor (but virtualizes the host processor on Windows versions) with an Intel 440BX chipset."

So, maybe it is not possible to have 64-bit Windows XP Mode.

But is it even needed? You can run 64-bit Windows XP/Vista/7 applications in 64-bit 7.

  • i ran vista 64 bit on xpx64 bit and its awesome even better than windows 7 anyone who wants xpx64bit pm me ofr the link its a torrent and be sure to seed after downloading to prove ur thanks plz help everyone get free os's microsoft can make money on their stupid vista or 7 which is not better than xp :D

  • Yes.

  • I still think it is only available as a 32-bit version. You will still have to choose whether you are going to install it in 32-bit 7 or 64-bit 7, but the XP itself is 32-bit only.

  • XP is available in 32 or 64bit. The 64bit version is a modified version of Windows Server 2003 which is also 64 bit. Windws XP x64 comes in two varieties. Windows XP x64 and Windows XP x64 Professional Edition. The latter being supported still with updates. The prior being discontinued, yet sharing the same build number 5.2.3790

  • Yes, I actually had 64-bit Windows XP Professional x64. I haven't found 64-bit XP for Windows XP Mode, but maybe it's possible to install it from my Windows XP x64 someway.

  • If you do manage it, I would like to know how you get on

  • Ok.

  • You installed the x86 XPM or the x64 one?

  • Is there x64 Windows XP Mode?

I only found 32-bit Windows XP Mode, so I installed it...

  • MORE 5 1/2 MONTHS AND UR GONNNNNN

  • 3 MORE MONTHS AND THE RTM GOES PUBLIC
