So basically, you're taking advantage of the fact that vocals are recorded in mono, not stereo, yeah?

Only problem is, you're cutting out other things besides the vocals as well. Anything that was mixed mono is now GONE, and the mix is weaker than before.

I, for one, would rather pay a studio for the vocal stems than do this. But then again, I'm a crazy audiophile...

@IDancingCorpseI Because all songs are compiled differently. MP3 is made up of "layers" with certain sounds on each layer, whilst other formats are only a singular layer.

I isolated the channels in two seperate ones and inverted one, but the vocals are still there. Does this mean that the vocals and music are recorded on the same channel even though there is 2? How do you save it afterwards? I tried rendering it as an mp3 file (so I could play it back like a normal song), and when I play it, it's just two seconds from a random point in the song.

@Matterz05 I assume you must mark the whole song, then render it. Just drag with your mouse or press Ctrl+A to mark the whole track. Hope that works!

For those of you requesting for a method to remove everything but the vocal, should give Music Morpher Gold a try. It doesn't work as good as many had hoped, but it's worth a try.
