but to clarify, he didn't fall in love, as one of us becomes infatuated with each other for superficial reasons.

He was, is, and always will be. And he has loved us even before He formed us. His love so great, it would be reasonable to say that it is incomparable to the love we experience between parent and child, between siblings, between friends and between lovers. Not to downplay any of these but to show the difference in magnitude

That's exactly the point-we can't understand it. Who are we to judge the actions of God? Who are we to say He cannot do something? God came to this earth, and we killed Him. He knew this. He knew what we would do. And He chose to allow it anyway. Look at the temptation of Jesus. All He had to do was simply speak a word and the world would be at His command. But He chose to die. In our darkest hour, with our darkest deed, Jesus was the light that endures 'till this day, and will endure forever.

You have a good point, but you're forgetting something. Jesus willingly gave himself. He didn't have to die. If you read about the actual death then you'll see that he could've called down legions of angels to save him if that was what he wanted. but he didn't. He didn't because he longs for the Beloved. What kept him on that cross was knowing that this would mean an eternity with the bride that he loves so much. Along with his death came the resurrection and my salvation.

I can offer physical proof that Jesus is God, that he is part of the Trinity. It's a simple little proof, you can find it anywhere.

It's called the Bible.

Read Matthew 17:5. "You are my Son, with whom I am well pleased." The trinity, camimehraban, is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God himself told everyone who was there at the baptism that Jesus was his son...who are we to doubt him? You claim to believe in God, or at least in a god, so why doubt his Word?
