The moth is called Windega. Yes it's possibly a reference to Mothra for Godzilla. BTW people should stop complaining about the music. If this guy wants to edit in music he likes, so be it, i'm not gonna be so immature and complain.

okay people heres how it works that akrid has grown big because of a huge amount of thermal energy in its ass a bit like how megadecimater explained it but once all the heat which is gone because that place is like -1000 (dont ask me why there is snow and not ice everywhere) so the body drops rapidly in heat wise after being hot it fast freezes its blood and as it falls it becomes more frozen to the point once it hits the floor BOOSH!!!!!!! a pretty explosion of ice and left over thermal energy

see the orage thing in it's ass was like heat and as u can see the place it really cold

so to defeat him u gotta shoot out the heat from it's ass...so after that happens it froze in the air,dropped and shattered

this is definitely the easiest boss i have ever defeated, maybe i haven't had to experiece the full blow from it but it wasn't that bad when i fought he/she w/e u wanna call it

I just play it on my 360 XBox and the hornet never come down on the floor.

I had to send a lot of rockets in its stomack and by the last it was done, now final sequence or something that is showed in that video!!!

I beat the boss old fashioned way, as it fly all over the place and raining death on me, I kept on shooting it's stomach as it fly around. took like 10 tries :P

I probably would have never beat him if I didn't see this. I just got Lost Planet for PC and I'm playing it on hard, got stuck on this guy. Looked for tips on beating him but the faqs I saw didn't help and didn't even mention the wings. Thank you.
