i'm sorry, little mistake: jump in the fire demo didn't have slightly different lyrics (written by mustaine) but TOTALLY different lyrics, only the chorus stayed intact.

1. Hit the lights - only lyrics by hetfield (on KEA the musicwriter was exluded from the credits)

2. Mechanix - enirely Dave's

3. Motorbreath - only lyrics by hetfield (idem hit the lights)

4. "sitting in my room with my head in my hands"-Jump In The Fire - entirely Dave's (on KEA changed lyrics to also get in the credits)

James only wrote the lyrics for that song, so Mustaine is basicly doing the same here with FFF as James did with Motorbreath (AND Hit the lights, which was stolen in the same manner).

James surely liked this way of steeling because The Mechanix and Jump in The Fire (with slighty other lyrics on KEA) had only Dave Mustaine in their credits on a certain Metallica demo tape.

TBH if you say the riff is stolen then you'd have to admit that every thrash band has stolen riffs because in my opinion they're all quite repetitive and similar to one another.
