Not a fan of many of the newer BMWs after years of obsessing over them. Audi has taken over the elegant/simple/sporty/timeless feel with their entire new lineup. Interior of BMW feels contrived and gimmicky compared to the Audis. BUT....I LOVE THIS THING. Something about it is really incredible. I think anyone who drove it would immediately fall in love with it. You feel like you truly own the road. Total confidence in any kind of driving including @ 140MPH on the expressway at 3am....mmmmmmm

Actually, a loaded M5 reaches just over 100k and I imagine that is where the X6M will be too. As it is, a loaded X6 5.0 is more expensive than a loaded X5 (around 90k if you get the special rims too) and usually the addition of the M version on any of their cars usually tacks on an extra 10-15k. So my guess is they'll be somewhat equal in price, but I agree that the X6 M is faster, has more technology offered (which it already has like the actual seats and functions from the 7 series) and more.

Agreed, just saw my first X6 toady. A white 5.0. When I had looked at the pictures, I gave it up as being too much like a car etc etc. In real life the road presence is much more robust and SUV like with a forceful futuristic presence.

Because this is faster. The M5 is pretty fast, but this puts out 455 BHP, its lighter, cause the engine is two cylinders smaller (lots of other reasons) Its more efficient, and its more impressive. It has amazing all wheel drive capabilities.

I think they will, my guess is that this same engine will be used in the up coming m7, again i'm just guessing. I heard the new m5 will also be a v8 using twin turbo's with a double clutch 8 speed gear box. So dont' worry BMW will be back on top with pleanty of powerful M cars
