The onetime vocalist of the Special AKA in their mid-80's incarnation. With only one solo album to his credit, he is still best known for his vocals on The Special AKA's "Free Nelson Mandela". Tragically, in 2002 Campbell was found guilty of kidnapping and sexual assault on some underage girls and was committed indefinitely to a psychiatric hospital. 1987.

That's pathetic. He didn't even ask Stan Campbell one question and yet Campbell was the lead singer. He was sking Dammers all the questions and acting like Campbell wasn't even there. What a lame interviewer. I could see that Campbell looked bored too.

Hi track8fodderstompf , it's amazing isn't it? He does occasionally look at Stan Campbell when he's talking but he turns to Jerry Dammers when he asks the questions. Quite ignorant. Its like trying to talk to a girl and every time you wait for an answer she turns to other people and gives them the answer instead of you.

I've seen a few mentions around of Stan being in phsyciatric Hospital. It seems that people have heard it from somewhere but there's not much official website info on it.
