  • to @toukkata89 :

Maybe they do worship many Gods but they have the same Boiling Point like yours and how Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu told to Chand Khasi the two relligion are like brother and Sister. And you know why?! Because the Muslims are from the Families where worship the Sun God and would be to Liquide from Sri Parasuram. There stay soem Families where are latter become in this direction. :-) So actually you should look carefully about what you say :-)

  • aw he is so sweet!

  • Can anyone tell me how different between hindu and muslim?

  • @toukkata89 There many differences between these two religions . To start with hindu's worship Bagbhan and muslims worship Allah . Theres so many how they perform things and so on . if you go on goolge and type the same question you will get better answers (:

  • @toukkata89

muslim worship one supreme god allah but hinhu worship many gods and goddess

  • Love that funny, I am sure Akbar did love her but lets not forget she was his third wife who bore the next successor. The marriage was strategic for peace an alliance between the Rajputs clans (those who are willing). Expanding Mughal power over Amer and military aid from this region.

  • I would really like to blv this happns, but strngly enough hindu-muslim weeding seems a lot more difficult in todays world....

  • dont freakin worship Ali, there is only 2 different kinds of consideration and praise given in islam and that is full respect and appreciation of the prophets of ofcourse Mohammed(SHAS) and then full on worship with all your heart to our only god ALLAH!

  • the subtitles are incorrect some of them

  • be thanks full for what you got, use your brain to end the sentence.like english class, the teacher will write half of the sentence and tell you to finish it .what do you use? your imagination to finish it ,i been hearing this since the movie started,if the subtitles are incorrect dont watch it,so please shut up.

  • oh do stop argueing all of you, Yes I agree with you all, superb acting by bith hrithik and ash,

  • there's a limit to a frog's jumping.

  • inteeense! love that stare!

  • The illiterate Mughal was in many ways ahead his time encouraging arts as poetry, picture, religious freedom of speech between the Jesuits the muslims and the Hindus. What was missing from an educated man from today? Less violence and less wifes. So film is giving him this extra as a recognition for all his other qualities. It is nice to think that if someone had the courage to oppose him, maybe instead of a 5000 wifes harem he would have had only one.

  • He fellt for her, :D

  • i have t osay that i agree with that old man he let his heart lose his senses, he shouldve made peace with the rajputs but he should never have married her, yes it seems romantic but i dont think it is necessairly right

  • Interesting argument. I am curious - can you elaborate on that? Why isn't it right? I actually like the idea that hindus and muslims are capable of loving each other and I am not saying that because I am a romantic. There are examples of Jews and Christians marrying each other and making it work and that's wonderful too. Keep in mind, Jodhaa's father suggested that Akbar marry Jodhaa in order to make peace.

  • as an islamic ruler he is not permitted to marry a hindu he may marry a pious or good person who is jewish or christian but not hindus as they worship idols so forth, he coulve just promised them peace and their really was no need to marry her just to 'seal the deal' she is a person nota gift

  • true. what people have to understand though is that akbar was really trying to reduce the influence of the ulema (mullahs) in the realm of politics. the truth is his marriage with a rajput was a political move, both externally in terms of india, and interally in terms of politics. these moves were later reversed during the reigns of his son jahangir, and grandson shah jahan who were more orthodox in thier views on Islam. arungazeb was the simply the hight of the religious right.

  • Of course that he cannot marry a Hindu under the Islamic law. But Akbar was a Sufi oriented muslim so he was more open to other cultures and there is always an accepted provision for non monotheistic wifes : the "mutta" wife.

In reality he converted the Rajputh wifes. Theoretically at least, so the names were changed and they were burried not burned, but there are accounts of them still practising their original religion in the privacy of harem.

  • as a sufi myself, i can tell you that the sufi orders do not allow marriage with polytheists because it is stated in the quran when arabia was still polytheistic. as for what went on in the harem, who knows. the mughals were sensitive to the foreign label tag and akbar wanted the marriage which many rajputh nobles opposed because he was muslim and out of caste. not the way the movie depicted it at all.

  • In reality I said she was converted. The Rajputs were giving her to an outcast maybe, but in the light of Chittor ... not too much choice left.

I agree that nowadays suffism does not accept mutta "like as". But Mughals Islam was light from wine (see Babar poetry) to women. To advocate a movie's fantasy and acceptance the mutta in the movie: the Shia influence of the former regent, Bayram Khān; the defaced frescoes from Jodhaa bai palace in Fatepuh Sikri, Jamma Masjid and animal drawings.

  • xgotfiveonitx you said that sufi order does not allow marriage to polytheists. Indicating Sfism is a monotheistic religion. But earlier in the movie there is a song worshiping Khwaja as in the saint. You also reference Sufis belief in Quran so one can assume Sufis worship Allah alone. Can you explain this confusion. Your historical reference on Akbar may very well be accurate because the director of JodhaaAkbar say much of the story was imagination.

  • sufism is the mysticm of Islam. it is not a seperate religion. the song sung was not worship. nusrat fateh ali khan's dum mast qalandar praises Ali, does that mean its worshiping him? singing is not worship. many qawallis praise religious saints of the sufis. Ali is one of them, kwaja, refers to the chishti order and chishti saint buried in Ajmer, rajastan. Islam is a monothestic religion, we dont pray to idols or paintings or figurines. you wont find a single picture inside any mosque.

  • I'm confused... O_o too complicated... all the same the movie is cool :D

  • u are so right .

  • @mjbmailbox completely agree with you. I come from a (rather lax) Hindu family yet I have numerous Muslim and even Jewish uncles and cousins... It can work hahaha

  • @moynul123 How can you say he lost his senses? he hadnt seen her as yet to assume that it was love, lust, or attraction. In reality we should learn how to COEXIST. At the end believing in something is better than not believing at all because is in our nature that we have to have hope for a better future.

  • @alluhra19 i think we can coexist without having to marry each other, before you love a human you must love God

  • @moynul123 True that. However, in this case the marriage was a alliance for peace. Moreover, from what you saw, can you say that Akbar did not love God? whether it is god or allah, khrisna or buda, arent they gods in their respective religions? dont people who follow them love them?

  • @alluhra19 to love God is to obey God, the love of God is not through words phrases or mere poetry, it is in submission to do exactly what God has asked you to do, only the strong can do this

  • @moynul123 then i bow to you because if you are saying it, that means that you will act accordingly and you are among the few who are strong. You have submitted yourself to Him thus you have never and neither will go against Him in any way.

  • @alluhra19 why wud u bow to me? thats one of the stupidest things i have ever heard, to submit to God is not easy, if you had any sense in you, you would bow only to God for only he is worthy of worship, and i am not pefect i may go astray because i am weak and God has created man with weakness but no one is as mercidul as God, get some sense and bow to God

  • @moynul123 Ohhh how did I get so lucky? You see, I should have said "i take my hat off to you" but I rather said bow so it would be more sarcastic. But you said it yourself you are not perfect yet you expect others to be. How ironic! Stop contradicting yourself, make up your mind and pray that you dont fall in love with someone you shouldnt be so you wont be in the same shoes than the Emperor. That was first premise of our argument: LOVE.

  • @alluhra19 i have fallen in love infact i am in love and i dont think i have contradicted myslef at all

  • @moynul123 Thats good for you.I still think you contradicted yourself saying one is wrong with all that yet you said you are weak and you might go astray. That could go for anyone as well.Nevertheless, your attitude was that of accusing of going astray by loving outside your faith. Anyway, you will not change my mind and as I see it, I wont change yours, we have to call this a truce or I will grow old arguing back and forth trying to make you see through my eyes. However, Im up 4 it, if you are.

  • @alluhra19 i am not argueing with you i am simply putting forward my perspective, we obviously have different ideas as to what is right and what is wrong and i repect your views and ideas, but Akbar was a muslim and as a muslim nothing and nobody comes before God not yoiur mother father or wife and the FACT is that he was WRONG to marry her if he considers himself a Muslim, weither or not you agree with this is irrelavant, the fact still remains

  • @moynul123 therefore i will ask you, is it a sin to love someone contrary to what you had set your mind? when you love someone, you accept the whole package not just pieces. marriage is the convergent path of two people, they will not agree in everything but like work and pleasure, it is possible to separate what you are condemning

  • @moynul123 Now depending on the circumstances we start forming our groups or cliques. But as someone said once something like this "6 feet under we all look alike". When we started thinking that some are better than others not only in the possessions that the person may have but also in the qualities as a person, that is when everything started going down the hill

  • @moynul123 It is for peace! Omg man

  • @YaserxD LET THEIR BE WAR!!!!! LOOOL im only jokin...i have love for my hindu brothers my close friend is hindu im just saying tho what akbar did goes gainst his religion muslims cant marry hindus , but i understand that it eased the minds of the rajputs n he was in a diffucult situation n the marriage gave trust to the relationship between the rajputs and mughals

  • @moynul123 Peace is always guaranteed and reinforced by marriage.

  • @TheBeeDreams u must never have heard of divorce then loooool

  • @moynul123 Divorce didn't happen back then. At the beginning of the movie, Jodhaa tells you. According to Hindu customs, marriage is a bond of seven lifetimes. Divorce isn't socially acceptable even now in India.

  • @TheBeeDreams divorce did happen in india then and did happen b4 then but yes sum people dint agree with divorce

  • @moynul123 Most people didn't agree with divorce back then, actually, and arranged marriages (like this one) were very common.

  • @TheBeeDreams it depends what religion you are if you were hindu then you couldnt divorce if you were muslim you could and divorce isnt necessarily a bad thing

  • @moynul123 Yeah, I was talking about Hindus =) sorry

  • arrrgghhhh....so sweet and touchin :)

    hritik's expression....(LOL)

  • I think that his expressions couldnt be more sincere than with her, I mean c'mon this expressions are unique if you compare them with other actresses.

  • soooooo romantic!

  • hritik look so fierce in this movie. The moustache and khol in his eyes makes him look fierce.

this movie is better than the mushy lovely contemporary bollywood movie. I appreciate this movie more :) Traditional, culture, religion and harmony...( complete package)

  • its lovely the way Ash and Hrithik make you feelthe emotions especially without words. This movie is so sweet
