This happened when my friend was trying to run me through the desert he left me at the entrance with his 3 heros well he died later that run so he was going to order his heros to him and they ran into the portal and teleported across the map to him

its not a glitch because anet did it on purpose. a glitch is something that is not suppose to happen, but happens because of an error in the progamming. because you are supposed to play the game, not your h/h. in order for your character to progress to the next area, you have to go through the "portal" or someone in your party has to make their char go through it. heroes and henchmen arent primarily controlled by a player, therfor they cannot cause the party to access a new area.

i know how to do it and i haven't even tried it, go to any normal exit point in town/explorable area, flag hench through the portal, you won't be transfered to the next area but what will happen is exactly what you have seen

I'd say that is not a glitch, I think A-Net made the henchies and heroes teleport back to you when they are about to zone so they don't screw things up for you...My opinion..

i tried this at sunspear sanctuary and found out that if you die and do it the heros/henchies dont teleport back they stay inside and you can get them to run around inside! i got a vid of it uploaded on my profile :D

It's not a glitch it is a fix to a glitch that allowed you to make the heroes go through and use vamp weapons to kill them then necro traverse to their location and get exploration for free.
