Wow green... your really have a bone to pick. I used to work for Ransomed Heart years ago when I posted this. I didn't mark you as spam or even notice your comment. Your big "proof" seems to have been YouTube thinking something was spam. You look a little silly.
I don't buy everything John says, but I think Jer 17:9 referrs to an unsaved heart. It would be hard to love God with all our evil hearts... or the seed on good soil being the man with noble evil heart... doesn't make sense.
@bryanthomasowens My comment was clearly marked as spam only because someone didn't like that I voiced disagreement with John Eldredge.
We are sinners saved by grace. Just because we accepted Jesus as our Savior doesn't automatically mean we are perfect and that we are sinless. The only difference is the sin that we commit is covered by the blood of Jesus. Doesn't mean that our hearts magically become perfect and that you can trust it fully. Jesus's teachings completely refutes Eldredge's.
So now my comment is being marked as spam because it voices disagreement with John Eldredge? So if someone doesn't agree with his teachings, they should be silenced? That definetely proves how cult-like Eldredge's teachings and some of his followers are. Thanks, you actually just proved my point.
"Heaven and Earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away" -Matthew 24:35
"The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: Who can know it?" -Jeremiah 17:9
What truly makes a man the leader that God has designed him to be is self denial in the sense of self sacrificing his desires for his wife and children. The manner with which we are to love our wives as Christ loved the church is our God given measuring stick. In the world's eyes this seems like weakness, when it is in fact a true strength. The worldly self seeking aggressiveness that Eldredge speaks of isn't from above but is earthly sensual and demonic. (writen by machomuscleman1)
John Eldredge leart eastern mysticism and has trained in thearter he is the consummate false teacher laeding many astray·His ideas dont come from the bible."In modern shamanism, geese are also associated with communication, the ability to express oneself, especially through the use of stories. Its said that the goose as a totem signifies the importance of the childhood belief in stories and legendary places. The stories people liked most as a child might give insight in the patterns in their lives"
I've done wild at heart at Frontier Ranch and the rappelling off that cliff is incredible, though I did spend some time upside down. Wow. If you can't go to Wild at Heart look at these CD's. No, I don't get a commission, but you will not be disappointed. Kyle
I read the book while I was living in Guatemala. It changed my life. I've read it many times and given away more. I always keep a few extra copies around to give to men I meet.
Having done the Wild At heart program through our local church and having seen John and the team at Calgary, Alberta - I would thoroughly recommend them.
