I knew our defense could't contain Oregon. It was a close game--1 touchdown. Our Coach is a terrible play-caller but an excellent recruiter. We already have Montee Ball coming back as well as a freshman QB who is the most celebrated recruit in our school's history.

They were in agreement that it was a no catch in the booth. Poor VT, losing to a novice coach and a team that went 6-7 last season.

@MgoMuse The difference between the 2 situations is that in the game that you are referring to (and I watched the video) it was ruled incomplete, and there was inconclusive evidence to overturn that. Danny Coale's catch was ruled a touchdown and there was inconclusive evidence to overturn it. If it was ruled incomplete, then it would have stayed incomplete because there wasn't enough evidence to say whether he caught the ball or not. Given the circumstances it should have remained a catch.

VT had 12 points from Field goals. Michigans D stomped them most of the game till the end. As for the calls, the OT TD pass by VT. to me it looked like the ball hit the ground. and before he had true possesion his upper body was touching out of bounds making it dead ball. the call was correct. @iluvfirenze89 It SHOULD have been Kansas State vs. Boise State...it's absolutely shameful that two top ten teams were passed over due to smaller fanbases/viewership potential. However, Michigan deserved to be there more than Va Tech, who had no business even being in the Top 20, less known being in a BCS game. If not KSU or BSU, MIchigan-Baylor would have been amazing.

@Mega0821 Michigan fans had the exact same thing go against them in their previous game vs. Ohio State. But Michigan overcame the 50/50 call becuase they were the better team. If VT makes their field goal or doesn't mess up the fake punt, you might have won. But those are the breaks of the game. Make your field goal next time.

@MgoMuse The difference between the 2 situations is that in the game that you are referring to (and I watched the video) it was ruled incomplete, and there was inconclusive evidence to overturn that. Danny Coale's catch was ruled a touchdown and there was inconclusive evidence to overturn it. If it was ruled incomplete, then it would have stayed incomplete because there wasn't enough evidence to say whether he caught the ball or not. Given the circumstances it should have remained a catch.

I know that there is some argument over movement of the ball during the play, but the replay was inconclusive so the initial call should stand.

They were better athletes and a better team. Also, did anyone pick up in the first half that the Michigan player's knee was down in bounds at the 2 second mark? Hence, the clock should have ran, hence no field goal attempt? Just curious. As a die hard NCAA football fan, I am appalled by the officiating of this game.

VT owned Michigan. All sides of the ball. They were robbed, on back to back scoring attempts: both the Coale TD being overturned and the false start by the Michigan kicker. Michigan fans can say what they want, the W is in the books. However, they will always know that they really should have lost. They will always know that they were not the better team. They will have to live with that... Coming from an unbiased party, I cheered for neither, though I did watch the game.

Michigan is not the better team. Yes you had a better coaching game ( wtf beamer 4 and 1 on the 50 ), yes you won the game, yes its cool to see Michigan be back on the national stage. They are not however the better team. Virginia tech's offensive play calling was putrid and special teams was terrible, I saw at 1 or 2 missed pass interference call go in favor of the wolverines, but besides that everything went their way. Virginia Tech dominated the entire game. 377-184? just a poorly played game

VT had 12 points from Field goals. Michigans D stomped them most of the game till the end. As for the calls, the OT TD pass by VT. to me it looked like the ball hit the ground. and before he had true possesion his upper body was touching out of bounds making it dead ball. the call was correct.
