well, maiden are my favorite band for ages. i'm 16, my whole room is full of maiden posters, lp's and shirts. anyway the scorpions are also a great band and from my point of view the scorpions version of the zoo is the best one, even if i think bruce is a better singer than klaus (from my point of view bruce's the best singer who's still living dio and bon scott unfortunately died before), so well i'm looking forward to see the scorpions next month in bielefeld! it'll become great, i think!

Bruce is a fan of The Scorpions. Must be because there would be no reason to make this song if he would not be. The reason why so because also Ironmaiden was influenced by Scorpions. This because They had been listening to Scorpions before they created Ironmaiden back in 1975. You can listen to Robotman from Scorpions (In Trance album from 1975). Then compare it to Sanctuary. Ironmaiden also played Catch Your Train in their shows in their early days. So Bruce must be a big fan of Scorpions.

@TheNefariousMaster of course it's not better than the original. I'm privileged enough to have heard that song live twice played by the Scorpions. The Bruce cover is too rough around the edges. The guitar parts are too heavy on vibrato and Bruce's voice does not have in this particular performance the clean power required by this song. It's not supposed to have a simply vibrating voice, it's supposed to pierce your ears. Klaus Meine of the Scorpions did that. + WRONG LYRICS!!

@Killerrado I guess Scorps' live versions are heavier, as the guitars are tuned to D instead of standard E.

They are 'Live' Band, so no video can show the epicness of each show, maybe the official ones are close, but it's not the same as being there.

Listen to the original version of the song. Klaus Meine had much more powerful voice from 70s than 80s Because he went to a throat operation in 1982 and his throat was operated 2 times. So he had to learn to sing again and his voice changed some. So listen to the original version. One of the original versions is the one with lyriks when you write: Scorpions The Zoo.

I remember Bam Bam Bigalow having "Welcome to the Jungle" as his theme music in ECW. Mike Awesome for awhile had this as his theme . But in 2000 they changed it to "Awesome Bomb" a song Harry Slash and company made for ECW.
