This absolutely was the true Ex Shah of Iran's car and the VIN number is # 4870 and was restored by John Houghtaling for his car collection. Joe Sackey had imported the car years ago had been the owner and caretaker of this piece of work for a while. All the work was done at Bobileff Motorcar Co in San Diego Ca.
They say the 2nd gen Camaro and Firebirds were designed after the look of Italian sports cars so their is a sort of truth in the Camaro looks.Though its the other way around since the Muira came out in 1969.
I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice 4OHC Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree
A cousin of mine had a white Miura in the early 70's here in Beirut.....I can never forget the sound....and how low and wide it was......from front to back it looked like pure sex on wheels.....Camaros and other muscle cars looked like trucks next to it...It looked like coming from outer space while rolling in normal traffic..U could see ppl's jaws drop. What a piece of Art...even by today's standards..Magnificient..

I read a story once about the head of The Orange People, who apparently had 150 Rolls Royces, and I thought, Wow, what a collection, he must have Silver Ghosts, Phantom Is, Silver Dawns ... what a collector! .. and then I saw an overhead picture in LIFE of the collection, and about 90% of them were SPIRITs, in all sorts of colours (probably leaning towards orange!!!).

was laying in a parking,or waiting for green at a traffic light...well, back then in my town people stopped as like as petrified, astonished,speechless.
