I love the underated Aimee Mann so much. She is one of the great artists of the past 20 years and it's such a pleasure to know her music, amongsts such dissinterest and hype.
I saw this when it was first broadcast in the UK and bought 'Whatever' on the strength of this song. I've been a fan of Aimee ever since. Thanks for uploading this, it's a lovely memory. :)
I love this video & have to agree that 100% Aimee is better than 99% of everyone else. However, I like the chamberlain on "Whatever," especially on this song.
i stumbled onto Whatever way back when and have been a devoted fan ever since. My God, what an auspicious debut album, filled with a number of songs that have remained some of my favorites to this day. Not only is Mann a brilliant songwriter, but a beautiful melodist as well. kudos to jon brion for all his stunning work on her early stuff, too...
Fantasy: Aimee with a string quartet to complement that wonderful voice. I was around when she was new, and like a fine wine, she got better with age.
"Better with age," indeed. Mann's 1993 release "Whatever" has endured like few albums. A solid 5-star album that takes its time getting under your skin and repays your patience tenfold. Worth your time and effort.
at last. this song never gets enough credit. this was the first song (beside til tuesday) i ever heard by aimee. it was also my favorite for a long time.
I sang onstage with Aimee in 1989... she was touring with til tuesday and asked someone from the audience to get on stage with her to sing Love in a Vacuum... I was in the front so I did... was so amazing - an incredible experience I'll never forget. Too bad my voice didn't compare to hers :)
a lot of people think of her as only a voice in a rush song ~

This whole series was fantastic, but it's great to see this five star performance of Aimee's again.

This is the best Aimee Mann video I've seen yet. It is 100% her, especially with the introduction.

This is so well thought-out. Aimee's clearly in a league of her own as far as musicians go.
