i always wondered why they didn't name the standing full "the gutsu" because wasen't she the first one to preforme it on beam in the world championship or international competiton? And oliessa dunik did a round off full so that's different.. hmm
well great routine and i hate these commentors perferably the women
@moopoo66 The skill would still be the same regardless if it is in combo or alone. The full twist tuck back is still a "Shishova" since Shishova did it (in a combo) in 1983 (Szabo, however, was the first to actually perform it). Same thing goes for other acros, arabian will still be arabian whether it is done in a combo or it is done standing.
@oklahomatornadoes Thats right, Albina Shishova did it at Worlds 1983, which is why its named after her. The same worlds where Olga Mostepanova competed the skill which erroneously gets called an "Onodi"; the back flip half turn walkover out.
@moopoo66 - im pretty sure Pryhkina did it @ the 1987 Europeans......which is an internation competition, however to stand a chance of the skill being named after you, I understand you have to perform it at either the worlds or Olympics - which is stupid as the skills arent named after the originators of skills more often than not, but there you go ! eg. double twisting double is named after Silivas when again, Prykhina performed it first in 1986ish!!
@MelanieSmellany that's exactly what the commentators are supposed to do, explain what's happening so everyone understands, they have to assume we don't know anything about the sport.
She has one of the best standing fulls even to this very day.

correction ... a standing full is not a blind trick. im by no means saying its easy, but you can actually see the beam at all times. lol

Sometimes commentators sound like idiots but I guess it's important to present the discussion in a way that non-gymnasts will understand.

I just can't get over how she goes directly into that back full without a pause. That's just wrong.
