  • Pure magic what this song is doing to me <3

  • me encanta el amor tan verdadero k snape le profesa a lily

  • I cried like a bitch when Snape died! cried even harder when Snape and Lilly's scene came on.

  • This song makes me wanna cry. *sobs*

  • Was that Son of a Bitch Harry's Father ??

  • 0:27 FREAK!

  • When Snape saw Lily's body... his face. I actually saw his heart break :'(

  • Like if as you listen you are trying to imagine the scene and repeat all they say :]

  • To me, Harry, Snape, and Voldemort represented three choices one can make in life when facing its hardships and cruelties. Harry chose to follow the path of good. Snape chose to follow the darker path but had that goodness in him that led him to change his path, showing that even when you have done terrible things, you can still change into something better. Voldemort simply chose the dark path because he couldn't understand love and the power it brings to everyone who feels it.

  • ''After all this time, severus?''

    ''Always.''

  • @IAmSoFruity Just reading those words actually gives me shivers, I guess that can be expected if J.K Rowling wrote it.

  • Choking back tears here guys....

  • left some good moments out of Snape's story (ex. Why lily chose James over Snape) but taking in mind that some stuff had to be cut so the movie wouldn't be 5 hours long this scene was very well done

  • @jstarwars360 why did she?

  • I remember, when I was reading the Deathly Hallows, how furious I was when Snape became headmaster. How could he, when he killed Dumbledore?

But then, the books started to make me question Dumbledore.

And then the Princes's Tale comes along. The pages of the book are still stained with tears. It's the part of the whole series, and it always will be. :)

  • "Look at me.... you have your mother's eyes." Snape's last words. RIP Severus.

  • I'm 15 and I still love harry potter

  • @jimpolokatsa I'm twenty and I will love Harry Potter till the day I die

  • @jimpolokatsa lol

  • @jimpolokatsa you're acting like that's a bad thing xD surprisingly you and I (I'm 16) are considered the 'younger' readers/watchers. Harry Potter has a HUGE adult fanbase of even people in their 30s and 40s :)

  • If only JK Rowling could see all these wonderful comments everyone makes about her work, then she will truly understand the impact she has had with our generation. It wasn't necessarily about the movies or the "waiting-in-line" for the next book at midnight (although I can surely speak for everyone when I say that they were ultimately extremely important), but it was about the individual relationships that were developed by each reader as they explored and imagined the characters as their own.

  • This is just so beautiful it makes my heart ache...Harry Potter Forever. It shall last FOREVER.

  • Always.

  • @MsNinjaPigs Until the end

  • She's ordinary and you're special

  • Tears are dripping slowly down

This piece, its so beautiful, haunting, magical...loving.

Words cannot describe.Truly they cannot, the feeling that Snape had for Lily.It cant be love.Because i think it was something much more deep than that

You can love anything or anyone

But you can only ever find your soulmate once. and that too in a lifetime

I won't say that Snape was "my favourite character" because let's face it, he wasnt anyones in the begginning. .

But he too had a heart.

  • amazing flute solo+snape and lily+always...

this is too much for me.

  • harry potter was is and always will be m childhood since the dad my dad showed it me since i was 3 i loved it the story went into so much depth now only after seeing dh part 2 do i understand how mcuh care jk actually put into this story the emotion confusion everything made sense in that 1 scence i am really sad that hp series came to an end :) i will treasure my hp collection always

  • Harry Potter is part of my childhood and I'm proud to say that these books taught me how to be brave and so many things... J.K. Rowling told a better love story than Stephanie Meyer did in four books and I know that we, HP fans, will never forget this series and Lily/Severus love story! We are going to miss all these old times when we were eager to read one of J.K. Rowling's books. Long Live Harry Potter!!!!

  • J.K Rowling told a better

love story in one chapter than

Stephanie Meyer did in four books

    <3 <3 <3 <3

  • i loved how herminone! just happened to have a flask on her!

  • @thomasfy4 i think (not sure) that in the books she made one with magic

though i have to agree with you, many things in the films are a bit questionable

but in the books every little detail is right and everything makes sense

    (at least i haven't found a fault)

  • @thomasfy4 ^^

  • I knew Snape had to have SOME good in him. <3

  • @MsSmokingCaterpillar It was two lines-

    "After all this time?"

    "Always."

  • @ananyasam3 No, it was just one.

    "Always."

  • I don't believe Severus deserved to die...(I cried when he was killed in the movie)

When he said "You have your mother's eyes..." to Harry, Harry knew that he was on the their side all along.

  • @MsZeldafangirl deserved?

  • @MsZeldafangirl I know right? Just the expression on Harry's face said enough; He knew he was on their side.

  • Didn't James pull Snape's pants down or something...

  • @OhSnapItzDeeDee wouldnt surprise me haha

  • oh... he was so cute... tragic love story. And freaking James and Sirius were jerks to him. I'm sorry no matter how much I love them, when they were kids they were little bastards to Severus.

  • I honestly hated Snape when I started reading the books. I'd ask my older sister, who had read all the books "Why is he so mean to Harry? He hasn't done anything to him!" and she'd tell me "Just wait." and now I understand. I love Snape now. May he rest in peace.

  • i hated snape for killing dumbledore. I love snape now.. im like crying for him. abrave person who sacrificed EVERYTHING, literally EVERYTHING for lily, even after she died.

  • why did snape have to die....he shud have survived the war....and maybe become harry's guardian....and also Hogwarts headmaster!!!....i cried my eyes out when he died....i love him so much :( :(

  • @fizaizationable I love Snape, but he died for a reason. Also, there is no way he could've become Harry's guardian. Harry is of age (in the wizard world that's 17), and both of them wouldn't want that. Finally, Snape was only headmaster because of Voldie, it is rightfully McGonagall's position.

  • @selenapink98 oh why wudn't harry want that....he named his son after him ...thats a true fact.....and even if he dint become headmaster or his guardian.....he shud have survived the war.....after all of those deaths....sirius, dumbledore, lupin mad eye and soo many others...snape shud have lived......

  • @fizaizationable Harry named his son after Severus because he thought he was a hero, not because he wanted to live with him. Also if Snape hadn't died, Voldemort wouldn't have believed that the elder wand was finally his, and that has to be one of the most important plots. I know that a lot of people died, but it was for a reason. people die in war. Dumbledore died so Harry could learn things in his own time. Sirius died b/c Aberforth had to get the mirror to send Dobby

  • @selenapink98 to Malfoy Manor to rescue them. Mad-eye died to show us that things were going to begin going down-hill. Lastly, Lupin and Tonks died so we could see a child, (Teddy - their son) who's parents have been taken away from him by Voldemort grow up in a safe and happy environment.

  • @selenapink98 wtf are you talking about? series died because aberforth had to get the mirror to dobby :s your fucking off your nut!! what a joke! sirus died because he was murdered...

  • @thomasfy4 If you had read the comment I was replying to, you would know I was talking about how his death was relevant to finding the horcruxes. Calm your tits.

  • @fizaizationable Oh totally!!! Me too!!! I was crying to hard in the theater the people behind me came to my seat to comfort me!

  • severus snape the slythering has die to be a grinffindor :(

  • @mairelitha98 slytherin* gryffindor* also...what?

  • Whenever I hear this song, I always think, "Why did Snape have to die?" He was the real hero in the series. He was the unique, brave, dark, mysterious, under appreciated Potions teacher who was greif stricken by the death of the one woman he loved. I fell in love with Snape from the first movie. He was just so perfect. I will never forget Severus Snape, and forever shall his legacy live on. R.I.P Severus Tobias Snape

  • I did just put up these scenes, OMR it's so sad. I cried my eyes out in the cinema :(((

  • And just once...just one time...I wanted to take your mum's boobies...and put them on my face...and go BRRPRPPRRRPPP

  • This particular music does not lead into Dumbledore's Farewell but part of Dumbledore's Farewell is in this song towards the end and I think that is because they show when Snape killed Dumbledore in his memories. :(

  • @PinkCupcakes4Ever They'll be wondering why I cry every time I see the movies.

  • @TheRockstar3003 I always yell "Cedric!" whenever Edward appears onscreen during Twilight.

  • Simple y sencillamente hermosa y maravillosa!!! TToTT

  • "she is only jelous, she is ordenary, and youre special"

    "now youre beeing mean severus"

  • snape: bad for 7, good for 1 defeats them all

  • Ah. The Severus and Lily part makes me cry so much D:

  • No matter how hard I try, any reminder of Snape's love for Lily reduces me to sobs.

  • It kind of sounds like Dumbledore's Farewell at the end

  • @EatAndSleepAndDance That's because, in the movie, this music leads into Dumbledore's Farewell. Best part of the movie for me, that is. :)

  • "After all this time?"

    "Always." Said Snape

  • 5:15

Dumbledore- There's a reason Harry can speak with snakes. There's a reason he can look into Lord Voldemort's mind. A part of Voldemort lives inside him

  • J.K. Rowling told a better love story in one chapter than Stephanie Meyer did in four books.

  • @MsSmokingCaterpillar 4? bitch, she might write 24 books and they will still not have the feeling of what true love.

  • @MsSmokingCaterpillar why did you copy my comment

  • @MsSmokingCaterpillar in the movie alexandre desplat did most of the work setting the scene with the music....

  • Alexandre really knows how to make VERY SAD music O.o

  • @TheRockstar3003 Me too :D

  • Dumbledore: Lily... after all this time?

    Snape: Always <3

  • @xRainbowHugsx What exactly did he mean?

  • Comment removed

  • @TheRockstar3003 Nah i know that one :D Let me google the name of those things..

Ah! The Inferi. It's in the Halfblood Prince :)

  • The best characters in the whole book series and movies ..were ALBOUS MCCONAGAL SNAPE AND HARRY

  • 4:32 - end :'(

  • @TheRockstar3003 oh oh oh, what's the spell Dumbledore uses in the cave against all those ehm.. undead thingies (omg i forgot the name).

It's not fiendfire, but what is it? o.o

  • @KingHarkinian Inferi are the undead things you speak of. Its dead bodies brought to a sortof zombie form by dark magic

  • @KingHarkinian A silent spell,

  • Truly, the tragic love story of this generation. </3 R.I.P. Severus Snape

  • Like this is Harry Potter is going to become a family heirloom to be treasured and passed down through every generation.

  • @SmallTownCritic im going to pass the story down to to my children just as star wars and other major films have been passed down to me.

  • @SmallTownCritic It will be in my family. Starting with the books, of course.

  • @SmallTownCritic im going to read them to my kids and make them watch the movies when theyre like 6. and if they say "mommy thats old, those movies are old we wanna watch new cool stuff on our floating ipads" well too bad mommys making you watch thses movies and your going to like it!

  • @Tysonsgurlaar42484 I actually intend to give my kids their first book the day they turn 11<3

  • @Tysonsgurlaar42484 thats what i was planning to do as well. :-)

  • @Tysonsgurlaar42484 especially when newer shit sucks ass!

  • @Tysonsgurlaar42484 YES! We will raise a new generation of Harry Potter worshippers! Whether we have to tie them to chairs and never let them sleep, it will happen. :D

  • @Tysonsgurlaar42484 agree when i was born in 1980s my dad made me watch old classic westerns like the clint eastwood ones and war movies like the great escape sands of two jima but yes the next genaration will learn to fucking like harry potter moviesand books well my kids are 9 so they watched all them but youre kids my friend and the next genaration will learn of the legend that is the harry potter films

  • @Tysonsgurlaar42484 Hhahahahahaha exactly! I always say exactly the same thing! They are going to read Harry Potter if they like it or not!

  • @SmallTownCritic Fuck yes...my kids better treasure this sacred series, otherwise their father will hear about this!!!!

  • @TheNightOwlsSquadron Bad parenting much?

  • Snape is also one of my favorite characters. If you want a REALLY good read, go on HPFF (Harrypotterfanfiction) and read "Resonance" by greengecko. Snape adopts harry as his son...and yeah, it's really good. Action packed and all. Plus, there are sequals that are equally as good.

  • @TheLaTourious

Some fanfiction is as good as the books, its a shame about copyright.

  • How anyone manages to actually compose music as beautiful as this I will never know.

  • "After all this time?"

    "Always" said Snape. ;(

  • You know, this is the weirdest thing, but during the memories of snape harry witnessed, when dumbledore asked snape if he had grown to like the boy, and dumbledore paused, and it showed that scene of snape holding dead lilly, I thought snape was harrys father.

Now I realize im an idiot, but wouldn't that have been all sorts of crazy?

  • @western3589 don't worry your not an idiot, i thought the exact same thing (maybe we're both idiots :P) but it was easy to make that assumption as we realised severus' love for lily and their history, but it was such an amazing scene, it was my favorite from the whole film :)

  • @lilmisuk Well im glad to know, cause I told my friends that, and they were like.... your retarded

  • @western3589 read the books you dumb ass

  • @spoonrocks Go to hell

  • @western3589 that was really stupid! Harry's dad died before Lily! if you know anything about harry potter, you would know that!

  • Comment removed

  • type in snape and lily in google images and play this in the background....... awwwww :'(

  • 5:49 Play "Dumbledore's Farewell" here. Without it, this scene wouldn't feel complete.

  • I am struggling to NOT cry right now..

  • They chose the perfect music for the Last movie. It was emotional but each peice fit each scene and it really came together. :)

  • Snape's story is so sad. R.I.P. Severus Snape, one of the bravest men to ever be born.

  • @ChristineAngelDaae OMG I wish we knew him as more of a good guy throughout more of the movie but I guess that the way JK Rowling wrote it, she made us want that but by doing it, she only made us love Harry Potter more than ever!!!

  • Alexandre Desplat is a real genius!

  • The first time I read this, I didn't get it. The second time, I cried. :',(

  • @alwaysmudblood Its cute right? I am so mad that they didnt get together because of James Potter! :| Grrh!

    ...

  • This is my favourite Harry Potter soundtrack.. I am really into classical music and I love how serious this music is...:) I am a Slytherin and Professor Snape was definately the Bravest Man I ever Knew <3

  • Me crying so badly in this part!

  • James Potter disliked this ;)

  • "

    "Expecto Patronum!" spoke Snape.

"After all this time?" asked Dumbledore.

    "Always." replied Snape.

    "

    - From one of the most epic parts of the book.

  • Alexandre Desplat is a genius.

  • Who could dislike this?

  • I know this may sound like a fraze or cliche, but Harry Potter is great part of my life and also story of my life-i know how it feels when you are alone, your friends don´t trust you,you lost loved person...i always cry when i listen to this epic song because i am doing same mistake as Severus did-i love someone so much without letting him know...

  • @noelikuto I agree with you, my friends say i am insane, that Harry Potter doesnt even exist, and i am just like "He will always exist in my heart because i grew up with him..." And the love part just - aww, good luck!

  • @lolcia1998 weirdo

  • @JulciiaOfficial says you for saying weird HAHAA

  • @farmerjamesfergus no, i mean she's weird.. because she is, like seriously

  • @JulciiaOfficial No, I just love Severus Snape and I love serious music like that one ^^ :D

  • @lolcia1998 ah oh lord what is this thing doing to you

  • I remember the tears that came out of my eye when watching this scene

  • saiko

  • STUPID COMMERCIAL POP-UPS ON YOUTUBE!

YOU'RE RUINING THE BLOODY EPICNESS OF THE SONG!!

  • Desplat give us a perfect last music compilation of this amazing story ... thank you

  • I always cried at this scene...:(

  • there is a reason this video has 0 dislikes

  • I cried manly tears.

  • I knew Snape was good ever since I found out that he did not steal the sorcerer's stone. Even when he killed Dumbledore, I was like well he probably told him to so Voldemort would think he was on his side. No joke. I think that Snape was one of the most honorable characters in the whole series. Paired with a brilliant portrayal by Allen, he is without a doubt my favorite character.

  • @HalfBloodPrincess736 I agree with you. At first, I was just like "Snape didnt steal the stone, I am sure" and then when I found out for sure that it wasnt him, I loved the character... It has to be Severus Snape to give his life for The-Boy-Who-Lived... He was so complex, but easy to read at the same time... :D And Alan Rickman was probably the best actor for the role... :D

  • @HalfBloodPrincess736 its quite noticable if you read the books, snape did so many good things throughout the story that the dumbledore killing scene was much more from what it seemed

  • @HalfBloodPrincess736 he's one of the most honorable characters i've ever read. he shouldered so much, dealt with so much hate and pain from Harry for what he'd done when he was trying to protect Harry from the beginning.

I deeply admire those who will take on the burden of being the bad guy, of being hated by many, by all, to protect the one person they care about.

  • @HalfBloodPrincess736 its the philosophers stone not sorcerers :(

  • @jamespadley agreed. although in the usa it was released as the sorcerer's stone

  • @lucas1470 that is because USA decide to change our words around its annoying :( its how it is but they have to be different

  • @HalfBloodPrincess736 agreed, although interestingly snape IS the catalyst for the entire series also. He told voldey of the prophecy which got the potters killed.

  • @JamieMaguireful and his greatest mistake got lily to dislike him which got her to like james, which resulted in harry's birth. a lot of the story is the result of him

  • @HalfBloodPrincess736 Lily didn't like him like that. He could friendzoned to early.

  • Well, I'm crying. How about you?

  • Snape, in my opinion, has been and always will be the most tragic hero in the entire series. As a child, he put all these defenses and walls around him from his parents and James, and that caused Lily to not... well, love him. He remained like that, defended. He wanted to be the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, he knew Occlumency, and died, defending himself. But when he died, it was different. I think he was dying for Harry and Lily. And when he died, he destroyed his walls.

  • Ahhh I had these silent endless tears when he finds her dead, his mourning is such a contrast to how he's usually portrayed, also when he talks about Harry being 'sent to the slaughter' and he the flashbacks arrghh man, WHEN IS THE DVD OUT!

  • @phantommilkshake its out already i bought it 2 days ago

  • @apelaez97 In the UK I mean :L

  • i must admit, i never liked Snape. even after reading "the prince's tale" and seeing him in the movie. when he asked Harry to look at him in the end, it was so that he could see Lily's eyes. if Harry didn't have her eyes, i don't think he would have done what he did for Harry. I mean, he ran right to her and ignored the crying baby. i don't think he cared for harry. only Lily.

he wasn't a good guy. he was a bully and a coward to take out the fact that he couldn't tell Lily how he felt on Harry.

  • There's a reason why this has 0 dislikes.

    It's so beautiful.

  • It really annoys me when people say James was a bad guy. He wasn't a bully IMO. Severus hated James as much as James hated him. We only saw ONE chapter, in which James made Severus embarrassed. Throughout their school life, Severus could have gotten James too. It's just like Harry and Draco. Sirius tells Harry not to judge he's father on that day, nor should anyone else!

And Lily was NOT a prize to be won; she fell for James, but didn't know Severus's feelings! - Rage over ;P

  • Im so conflicted, i've always thought james was a good guy, and i looked down on Snape. I cried, when i was at the movie. Even though I had already red the book, to see Alan play a character whom we despised, actually be good, filled my eyes with tears. His performance was shocking, I felt like I was losing someone i had known all my life. I keep a picture of a silouhette of a doe on my wall, along with the words to the chapter "the prince's tale" it's framed, and i bought it on etsy. RIP Snape.

  • jk rowling can make a better love story in one chapter than stephenie meyer can in four books

  • @caramelslider298 ^ most accurate yet unrecognized comment of 21st century

  • @caramelslider298 Humanity agrees. :)

  • @caramelslider298 Rowling doesn't know how to write romantic scenes, but neither can the Twilight writer.

  • @Curseco the princes tale doesnt tell of a romantic scene but it does unmask a love story thats been hidden for 7 books and twelve years and thats why its such a powerful chapter and scene because nobody expected that snape was the good guy (well sort of)
