Alan's best movie scores are:Predator,Judgment Night, Roger Rabbit, Romancing The Stone,and my personal favorite of mine, "Back To The Future", cause I take my ipod at work every day and listening to that while at work and never ever get tried of the 80's sci-fi classic,but this sequal is very good, I've have good respect for the legendary composer/conductor,5 stars.

I heard it in late 2007, you know when it was in the cinema, I loved it.

I downloaded it (predator score) of soulseek 4 years ago. I came across two versions of the score, one sounding older and muddier then the other, but I prefer it above the "more polished" version. I suppose it must have been rereleased at some point to sound cleaner.

so, summing up, we got "Forrest Gump", "Cast Away", "Back to the Future" and "Predator". You know, I personally loved the opening title music for "Mouse Hunt". It was one of the first film score themes I remember to enjoy (I was a child by that time). So Silvestri is a genius. No doubt on that.

I think that both Forrest and Contact are beautifuls works of art, but similars as well, in some points. So im gonna choose Back to the Future, the wole trilogy, basing my opinion on its perfect orchestration. And sharing it the first place with the great Cast Away. what a piece of art!

but Cast Away was only about three minutes of music, the rest was just background sounds. Back to the Future is, indeed, great.

your right, but those moments with music are perfect. maybe the movie didnt need to be all the time with music. since its first appearence when he leaves the island, the moment he loses wilson, the moment he's telling his story to a friend and the very ending..it's just perfect. those strings and the oboe are magical. four chords and it's break your heart
