This makes me want to get my car on a dyno once it's done! I'm using the same cam but with aftermarket heads and different intake. But I've head those Cobra intakes are just about the best intake you can get for a 5.0.
@707notchback That is a proven combination. It should put down numbers very similar to mine. For a street driven 302 which needs to not only perform but pass emissions as well it is one of my favorite setups.
@707notchback . This car does just that, I embarass plenty of aftermarket HCI combinations regularly. I do still own this car. It averages 12.40's depending on weather. I'm running Nitto 555 DR's and they are terrible track tires but great for street longevity. Second gear spins too much at the track. I need to get this thing on slicks one day. I have just never gotten around to it. I have owned several 10 second cars (10.90's to 10.40's) but this one has always been the most fun to drive
@bam2723 lol sick!!..yea the nittro dr dont hold well at the track..i keep hearing good things about the bf goodrich ones tho..may wanna give them a shot...im sure that car can sneak in a 12.0-11.9...
Thank you. I have always had pretty good results with the B in these mild applications. Frankly, I haven't had any real success with Ecams in the past. I do like the E for carbed applications though. A trick with the E is to advance it 4* and use 1.7's on the exhaust. Some of the E cam die hards swear by that. Gears are 3.90's with a 275-50-15 tire. BTW this engine has over 600 passes on it not to mention 40 or so road race and autocross events over the last 10 years.

@bam2723 thanx, one more question what comperssion ratio?
al3id 1 year ago
@bam2723 Compression is stock. Just under 9:1. Stock pistons with ported and surface checked GT-40 irons. No milling.
