@FinnishVikings Its the muffled words from Tuco "WHY YOU....." in shock and disbelief that his brother has just slapped him. Then he recoils and nails his brother with a good solid right. His brother really looked down his nose at Tuco when all he wanted was to say hello. Years of built up anger made it almost impossible to express sibling love. However we as the audience could see in a very sad way that is was there.
E' il momento in cui scopriamo che anche Tuco ha una famiglia e un'anima. Ma la mente, lo sguardo e la musica tornano con un cambio repentino e geniale ai "dollari": il tempo dei sentimenti è durato anche troppo, per Tuco.
there's a darkly humorous moment after this when Tuco cheerfully says to Clint Eastwood "my brother - he'll do anything for me!". Of course Eastwood has witnessed their little disagreement and knows different but doesn't say anything
Is it me, or at 3:25 I hear somebody in the background say "NOW HIT HIM" in a very muffled voice. Its actually at 3.26 - Listen Carefully at the muffled sound in the background.
@FinnishVikings I would be very surprised if there were any accidental sounds at all on the soundtrack (a) because unlike holywood the movie was shot without sound, then dub tracks for various markets were added in post. Also it was an Italian crew, and Leone in particular didn't speak English at the time, so who would have been shouting those words? For the record, all I hear at 3.26 is muffled grunts. I think you're suffering from "LP played backwards" syndrome... :-)
Only thing that could have made this better was if you let it go for like 2 minutes longer, when Tuco is talking about his brother to Blondie, who gives him a cigar
Marvellous acting from Eli Wallach -what a talent he is!- and what a scene, too! We finally learn a little about Tuco's background here, and see a little humility -even humanity- in the bandit. Not much, though...just enough to give the character even greater depth. However, is it the 'best scene ever'? For my money, no, because it's only one of many in 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly'. Mind you, that's a mark of how great this film truly is.
This is such a beautiful scene, the camera work, the script, the acting, the story, the music. Oh, the music. The music is so emotional in this whole movie, and especially this scene (amongst others, it's hard to rank them because they're all so good). On another note, Eli Wallach slightly looks like Bruce Campbell, or the other way around I guess.
tuco's best scene was when he exited the desert and robbed the shop keeper of his 200 dollars and the handgun...but left him his bottle of wine....followed closely by the bath and the line....when u have to shoot...shoot ! don't talk !.......then maybe this....u a little confussed me thinks. but kool upload none the less.....

I like also the next scene, when Tuco is sadly talking about his lonelyness and Blondie give him the cigar.

I used a Scene of that Movie in the background for my Piano Cover of the Wild Horde Theme (from the Nobody-Soundtrack); Tags: "Wild Horde Piano"

9 years is a drop in the bucket for family disagreemants. Try 15, 20 years like in my family

@FinnishVikings I think I heard it too. It kind of sounded like Clint Eastwood's voice.

A good scene because it tells his past and the only time he is sensitive. Love this movie.
