  • I've beenwatching a lot fo your food videos...and now im hungry XD

  • In taiwan, we can pay our bills at convenience stores. This may not seem that awsome, but you need to know that there's virtually one convenience store every 100 meters in larger cities.

  • LOVE the katamari damacy song xD

  • wow that's so easy. I want to live in korea ;_;

  • You guys. YOU GUISE. I don't even live in Korea and it's 1:18 AM and I'm watching a video about paying bills in Korea.

WHY MUST YOU BOTH MAKE EVERYTHING SEEM SO INTERESTING? Dx lol

  • How much you guys spend every month? Energy and everything. :C I'm really curious.

  • in the UK you've been able to pay bills at ATM's for a while now, and top-up your phone

  • i wanna go to korea one day :/

  • the song in the backgroud

  • Katamari Damacy!!! Love that game. And thanks for this vid. It will be significantly helpful once I've moved to Korea and have to start paying bills.

  • lol awesome katamari damacy music

  • Also, WE NEED THIS IN AMERICA XD

  • :D EPIC Love that you used that Katamari song! <3 One of my favorite games ever

  • The thing is I already learned some Hangul. I can read it but still I don't know what it means. :'(

  • @eLociNixs go to talk to me in korean dot com :3

  • @theoldversion That's where I study Korean.. but thanks anyway. :)

  • it i

  • R u staying in Korea?

  • @TheLegend1245 they've been living there for about three or so years

  • I haven't ever wanted to pay bills until now.

    I'm moving to Korea.

    I'm 14.

  • @M13self LOLOL AMEN.

  • um doesnt the rest of the world pay their bills online? i think thats much easier than this............

  • Japan has a similar system where you have a cashier at the convenience store scan it and you can pay it there, but this is so much easier. I think they should adapt to this type of machine too.

  • Don't they have direct debit payment in S.Korea? =/ That's the only way we pay bills here and i'd be worried about bills and totally forget!! ><

  • this video really helpful, thanks simon!

  • Katamari Damacy music!!! hahaha

  • here in PORTUGAL we use ATM to pay the bills, pay taxes, charge our mobile phone, basically everything..and the technology is not new at all (actually i think the software was invented here) .

That process you showed of the scanned paper appearing on the screen we usually use for checks depposit :3

note: just pin pointing this as a curiosity

  • i wish the USA had thos! it wuld save a load of time

  • Ah hahaha! Katamari! <3

  • what is the song in the background o.o?

  • "Green buttons are usually good..... I'm gonna push that" LOL genius. xD

  • Oh snap! This is simpler than european banking. And I thought online banking with Firefox is the ultimate way to pay bills cause ff remembers the data that you enter, then you just click, click, change few numbers and that's it.

But there's an even better thing other than a large machine feasting on your bills. Look at it, nom nom nom nom! Well go to the bank and they can pay automatically from your account each month to the company and all you get is a notice bill in your inbox. Ha! :D

  • I lived in Aesch Switzerland for a year..right outside of Basel. it was so easy to pay your bills. You had a a big coupon book of all you bills. You went to the post office with your Swiss Francs and handed them the money and you coupon book for that month..they would take just what you needed to pay.. stamp the coupon receipt for you and hand your book back. So you were good till the next month. Loved it. I am sure they have something more efficient now.

  • every other country needs those machines... seriously

  • WHY CAN'T CALIFORNIA HAVE THIS?! BECAUSE WE HAD TO DO THINGS BY MANUAL, MY MOM IS STARTING TO PISS ME OFF!!!!! she has me translate from chinese to english. it's pretty stressful because when i say one thing wrong, the whole shit is blown up and i get yelled at for bad translating. T_______T FML

  • now you can even pay your bill with cell phone. phone banking.

  • and again: Background music from the epic video game KATAMARI! :D

  • you can actually change the language settings on those machines

  • GAH!!! I wish America had those!!! It would be so much easier!!!

  • is it me or are simon's lips super shiny in this video?

  • katamari song ftw

  • 0:47 did you say "detach the parsnip"?

  • it is korea or corea

  • @bzizi110 Both.

  • This is amazingly easy, but here in the lower parts of europe (the netherlands), we now are used to pay our bills by internetbanking, called IDeal...and it really is ideal!!

  • you don't even need online or goto the bank, just call them, ask for english speaker and setup automatic payment

  • Wow!! That would be so much easier!!

    Imma going to Korea! XD

No really I want to n so does my friend :D

Thanks Simon n Martina! Hope to see more videos about Korea! (:

  • How is this quicker and easier than just paying your bills online? :)

  • @Monscent the problem is that not everyone haves internet or even a computer :/

  • @EnaidPI In Korea that isnt a large problem..

  • @EnaidPI in korea, 99% of the people have access to internet/ computer. The remaining 1% are probably hobos, who dont banking anyway.

If you're talking about countries other than korea, i guess you're right then.

  • Do you know that you can select language? There are English, Japanese, and Chinese.

  • the song is from Beautiful katamari! I love that game.

  • IN MY COUNTRY WE USE ATM'S MACHINE TO PAY BILLS, TAXES, BUY TRAIN TICKETS, MARKING THE DATE AND LOCATION, CONCET'S TICKETS, BESIDES THE NORMAL USES FOR A ATM MACHINE. BUT THAT IS ALSO A VERY GOOD OPTION TO PAY YOUR BILLS. USING INTERNET FOR THAT IS A LITLE DANGEROUS BECAUSE OF HACKERS.

  • @mar96silva Korea's internet security of official sites are very strong because theres many skilled computer people

  • America is a too big of a country compared to Korea. America has 50 states with different systems and rules, while Korea is smaller than NJ itself. Since Korea is so small, it has time to make everything so efficient with little or none partial opinions on the subject. America on the other hand needs various amount of maintence all around the 50 states rendering it powerless to amend the states into a better and more efficient system...

  • lmfaoo the green button is always good *press*

  • everything is in korean? no english at all? i'd be so scared if i had to live there. i dont know any korean

  • WOW!! SO EASY!! WOW!! <3

  • those machines are awesome!!! XD the U.K should get them!!! XD

  • im positive this'll be helpful. thnx guys~

  • why don`t you learn han-gul? that would be more easier than you remember the location of button

  • @Fjohnny We know hangul, but this video is for people who are brand new to Korea and can't read it yet. :)

  • @simonandmartina is it hard to laern? i really want to learn hangul but.....@_@

  • @simonandmartina was it hard to learn? bc i want to learn it and the writing looks difficult. lolz

  • @irmocutie Hangul is the easiest writing system in the world to learn. You can do it in a week.

  • How does the machine know where to pull the money from? What bills are able to use the machine?

Are those machines poised to take over our world? I for one welcome our new machine overlords.

  • I live in korea and wow i didn't know that that's incredible!

  • dam.. that's handy

  • wth? u just rip the frickin paper and slip it in the machine? wow!

  • WHAT?!!?! my dad spends like 1 hour trying to do it online. hes like computer retarded though. still thats pretty sick. i wish we had that in america...

  • What song is playing in the background? Sounded Japanese...?

    XD

    I like your vids!

  • @dashapenguin i think it's from katamari damacy (the game) hence the japanese-ness

  • its called 'the moon and the prince' from the katamari damacy soundtrack (katamari damacy is a japanese game on the ps2 -- its awesome ^o^, the music is epic)

its also in english too. xD (the music is still in japanese though, which i don't mind.)

  • i heard you can pay your bills at the convinence store!... at least in japan. and i think i wastched a vlog on korea too!

  • nice !!!!

  • well too bad america don't have this too!

  • @buddyclubs

We dont have these machines because we are too busy "spreading democracy" around the world....smh!!

  • @buddyclubs nice english

  • thanks for the help

  • Katamari music = instant awesome!

  • WHOAH! Awesome!!

  • Mac users should always open their accounts with Shinhan as they have a Mac based internet banking software.

  • You could always install windows on your mac... I know that sounds awful, I had to install windows on my mac for similar reasons -_-' ... anyway, I love all your vids, can't wait to see more. I just know your vids are going to help me when I'm in Korea next summer ^_^

  • haha, good job. why don`t you learn korean instead of remember what do you have to push. that`s not so hard :P. tease your korean friend.

  • Is that music from the Katamari soundtrack?

  • We got those here in japan!

  • AWESOME! I don't know if I'll have to pay bills while in Korea next spring (if I go), but I want to teach English in Korea in a few years, so this is really helpful! Thank you both loads and loads!

  • ? dude? whats up with you? did you even watch the video?

  • The US should also get those machines!

  • wow they are very easy machines that is cool i thought all country are same machine....

  • wow, very informative :)

  • Heyo!

Here, in Brazil, we use "code-bars" (is that how you call it? xD!), it's pretty quick too. I'm not sure, but I'd say we're even faster ;D!

Thanks for sharing Korean Culture with us, see ya ;D!

  • AAH i like that system, it seems soo much easier to pay bills. I wish they had that here. thank you soo much for all the awesome videos filled with useful info. I plan on working there after college ^_^

  • ooooo aahhh very cool.

  • MAGIC

  • YayyY! New videooo! xD

    You guys are awesome.

  • like tat element jacket... did u get tat in korea? if u did where at?

  • That is so cool! Why are do all your bills say OCR on them? Are they like water, hydro, utilities etc...? I pay bills online here in Canada. Very straightforward, but that system looks good too! :) Ps. Martina, can you fix Simon's cap. It's crooked. LOL. :)

  • I belive OCR stands for "Optical Character Recognition" which means it can be readed by computers.

  • Neat-O. :)

  • Online banking is even easier :) You don't even need to leave your house!

  • MoeBT: We're really annoyed we can't use online banking because the all the sites in Korea are made for Windows and Internet Explorer, so if you use Firefox or have a Mac, the sites don't load properly. BOOooo!!! I can't even register for Gmarket without using my school PC.

  • I primarily use a Mac as well. I share your pain.

  • You can always get VMware fusion and your problem's all solved!

  • @simonandmartina or you could just load windows on your mac

  • @simonandmartina wow that's odd that Korea would do that :( sad for us mac users...Super Junior featured a mac in a music vid, you'de think that if stars would do that that you could actually use those products properly in Korea

  • @simonandmartina Get a virtual machine or WINE to run IE? :P Cant tell you how if you want Linux guy here :P BOOooo!!! for windows and mac :D Open-source is the way
