@PurpleSkyP Wrestling is fake in some parts in the sense that it does not hit the other guy, but with the purpose of showing it as a 'hit'. It is part of the 'scripted' thing. But painful moments are on the script too, and that's what's not fake... although sometimes they are unwillingly. Still calling wrestling a fake is kinda a misunderstanding. But to let others know... IT IS NOT REAL. They're not hurting each other for the sake of hurting or actually winning a real championship. :)

I'm a former major WWE fan and I still watch recaps from time to time but if WWE were 100% real without following any scripts don't you think that half the moves these guys use would literally kill or badly parylize?

This part was pretty good. I knew that if a wrestler messes with someone in the crowd, it has to be a plant, but I didn't know how much the ref is used to "call the plays". The intricacy of it with the ref and the chief commentator just makes me admire pro wrestling even more. It also explains how they can memorize all those moves every night. They don't. The ref helps them. Even more awesome than I thought.

Don't tell me anyone needed this video to know that pro wrestling is fake. With all the hard face punches these wrestlers receive they would look more like boxers at the end of a fight every show. A little blood can't hide the fact there is no bruising anywhere. No fat lips, no black eyes. And these guys are strong enough to break facial bones so there is no way pro wrestling is real.

Secondly, how about they talk about, wrestling secrets revealed instead of constantly overusing the word, "fake". A lot of men have given there all to be in that ring and lives have been lost to ENTERTAIN us for the word "FAKE" to be thrown out there. It's a real insulting word to use. Sure it's pre-determined, staged, rehersed & written by writers but it still has an art to it but why is this a shocker? I enjoy the insider value but WOW, common sense.

Don't tell me anyone needed this video to know that pro wrestling is fake. With all the hard face punches these wrestlers receive they would look more like boxers at the end of a fight every show. A little blood can't hide the fact there is no bruising anywhere. No fat lips, no black eyes. And these guys are strong enough to break facial bones so there is no way pro wrestling is real.

People spend their money expecting a product and the wwe delivers, so what is the huge deal? If a certain demographic doesn't believe this is a performance, they likely wouldn't understand why anyone would fake it. As long as this continues to pull in millions of dollars each year and billy-bob and his six dumb-ass kids still tune in every friday this stuff isn't going anywhere. pro wrestling or wwe, it's all the same.

The ring is built so that underneath it is sprung. You may see this when the curtain gets raised up. Wrestlers say that it is most like a bouncing castle. When wrestlers take huge jumps in the ring it takes a lot of the impact away. There are a few layers of soft wood under the mat, to take away the force of impact. Also, there is often a microphone under the ring to make big moves sound more dangerous.

95% percent of the time, a wrestler bleeds by "blading" himself, and not by using a blood capsule. Here's how it works: A wrestler rolls out of the ring and hides himself from the view of the audience. He then pulls out a small blade and quickly cuts his forehead. Cutting anywhere else is very dangerous and is rarely ever attempted. You will notice that 9 times out of 10, the camera will cut away from a blading wrestler so as not to spoil the illusion

The tables used in a wrestling match are thin and cheap, and break easily. They are not pre-cut or rigged in any way, however they are made of poor quality materials. Also, they almost always go through the centre of the table, where no metal is present. When the wrestlers use a sledgehammer, it is either a fake or plastic hammer used, or the wrestler "pulls" to lessen the blow. Pulling means that he doesn't hit the person as hard as he can, and pulls back on the movement of the sledgehammer.

The WWE uses both real and fake (capped) barbed wire. Barbed wire matches don't happen very often in the WWE but when it is used, the wrestlers often switch between the real and capped barbed wire during a match. The match between Mick Foley and Triple H at No Way Out is a perfect example. When it was time for the wrestlers to be busted wide open, they switched the fake wire for the real wire.

The steps however are much lighter than the commentators say they are. Being hit with the steps is not really painful. In most cases, you will notice that the triangle part of the steps (i.e. the V-shaped part cut out of the steps to allow them to be placed against with the ringpost) is what is supposedly making contact with the wrestler. If the steps are rammed into an opponents head, the opponent gets his hand up to protect himself.

LOOOOL wrestling is fake and its so obvious. Its so funny when the wrestlers try to act like they didnt know their opponent was gonna kick out or something. And the ring doesnt even hurt the wrestlers they have springs underneath it. They also put a mic under the ring so when the wrestlers are slammed down it sounds like it hurts. The blood is real but the wrestlers cut themselves with a small razor, they usually covered their faces while on the ground after being hit with a chair or something.
