  • She is incredible.

  • I saw this film when first released in 1969 when I when I graduated from college. At the time, I thought it was a rendition of "The Graduate" for adult parents. However, I now see it as a precusor to the AMC series, "Mad Men." As a mid-60's age male, I appreciate Elia Kazan's film much more and will read the novel before seeing the film again. Kirk Douglas and Faye Dunaway were both compelling and I really understand the message of this under-rated classic. Thank you for posting this.

  • Elia Kazan entrou para história do cinema pelos seus filmes e também por suas "caguetações". O homem tinha o dedo mais duro que cimento.

  • Robert Shane-Inspector Henderson!

  • Kirk Douglas apparently kept his moustache from "The Brotherhood".....

Apart from the well done car crash scene, this movie is either a big bore of selfindulgancy, or a fascinating study in a successfull man that's had enough.

Director Elia Kazan was at this time more of an author than a movie director, who had directed many hit movies in the 1950s like "Viva Zapata" and "East of Eden".

My thumbs up is not because I liked this movie, but because I like these things to be around, for everyone
