  • This turned out really cute! I didn't think you could have that much bounce with larger twists! I'm going to try this b/c I don't feel like spending hrs twisting my hair tonight lol.

  • Hey Mae, I can't find the Beija Creme Brulee anywhere!! Any suggestions?

  • Very pretty, Mae. Congrats on your two-year Hair Anniversary. Looks very pretty!

  • OMG ! we have the same comb!! wow! Let me tell all my friends.

  • @Rose2gard lol

  • nice music!!!

  • i noticed that before you washed out the product and after washing it out your hair was still in twists...does the product completely wash out when still in twists or do you re-twist them after washing them?

  • you hair just looks so soft. it's so pretty!

  • you look like vanessa simmons :)

  • whats the name of the brush you use in thiss video?

  • @BonnieLadawn It looks like a tangle teezer. you can find them @ Sally's Beauty Supply. I really like mine.

  • i will be one year perm free nov 9....ive notice a major difference with my hair and scalp is clear from chemical burns....my hair is even more thicker and fuller

  • I wish I had type 3 hair. My hair is number 4 all the way down to C. God help me throughout my transition lol. I started transitioning yesterday. So far my hair has gone around 3 months without relaxer. Yesterday I almost put relaxer on it and something stopped me. I thought about all the breakage of hair I've gone through....years of my hair not getting anywhere near shoulder length...and NO MORE relaxer came to my mind. I'm going to join the natural club. Not doing the big chop though.

  • Mae, I remember watching your vids when you had a twa. Now your hair is BIG and it looks great :]

  • I love this, I've been transitioning for 4 months now and I'm looking forward to the whole journey. This hairstyle is something I would love to wear all the time all the time, I can't wait!!! Your hair is Gorgeous!!! :)

  • Very nice , I also like your comb.

  • Damn! I'm so jealous. I wish my white girl hair could do that. Super cute.

  • no wonder you hair is so long your so gentle with and you take your time i just rush and rip right through my twist outs i'm gonna strat being more gentle with my hair

  • Ms. Maeling keeps doing the darn thing! Awesome.

  • What products do you use?

  • can you give me your product list

  • My hair twin!!! But your hair is a bit thicker and longer than mine :)

    Glad to find you

  • just watched your video and wondering if you could be my hair twin?

  • So pretty

  • I luv this video it's sooooo great my twist out was not coming out right n now I see why thank u so much I'm try this now!

  • thanks for sharing these styles. even if i never try them, they are still helpful. keep doing your vids...i am 9 months natural since jan 7, 2011 and i LOVE watching everyone's youtube hair vids!! :-)

  • @hevinamber thanks for watching!

  • I have been natural for 8 months now and I'm so excited to see how my hair would grow

  • Gorgeous!

  • super cuuuutttteee!!!! I love it.

  • What is your natural hair type?

  • Cute

  • oh and You dont do wash -n-go do you? I dont recall seeing a video on it... if not why is that?

  • How do you keep it from shrinking? I do a twist out on wet or dry hair....by the end of the day...or in a few hours ...it shrinks up to a big fro...suggestions?

  • I love your hair.... and I have been following your videos for encouragement and inspiration (and have been telling others about it over here in the UK. I cannot wait for my hair to get anywhere near as big as yours - my only question is - how do you keep your hair from not frizzy and swelling (then shrinking - in my case) once you step outside (especially if there is a slight drizzle of rain on that day!!!!)

  • @Nikkimae2003 hey I love your videos. Your hair is astonishing. It's so healthy. I'm going natural but I've just started. I'm 2 1/2 months in. I'm transitioning and it's so hard. I think after about 5 months I'm just going to cut it. Is there any advice you can give me. I'm getting a bit discouraged

  • @dominsmith Hi :-) have u thought about braids? I used microbraids for my transitioning because I just wasn't confident enough to rock a twa...they helped..not only did I have length (with the braids) it keeps you from manipulating ur hair with a comb and you can do wash and go's everyday! and you can style them..To me micro braids are by far the best for transitioning with out BCing.Or let ur hair air dry 80 or 90% then blow dry on cool setting only on wash days..hope either one could help

  • I don't understand the dislikes either

  • 80 dislikes? wtf...

  • What color lipstick are you wearing? I love that pretty pink hue.

  • Talk about BIG Hair and healthy... you got it girl!

  • I've been following you from the start of my journey and I want to thank you for sharing you have helped me so much. If possible will you do a video on shedding? I'm always trying to look at your comb to compare if my shedding is normal.

  • i love your hair color!! beautiful hair you have there

  • this hairstyle reminds me of corinne bailey rae :) prettyy!

  • Smile :) you look so serious in this video

  • This is ok. They don't look very moisturized and sort of limp. But that just might be the look of it.

  • ♥♥♥your hair, videos, and sweet spirit May God continue Blessing you NikkiMae.

  • this music is relaxing!!!!!!!

  • Beautiful Hair. I cant wait for my hair to get there. Its been 6 months for me.

  • Hi Nikki, I like this video it was interesting to see how much your hair has grown. I have reviewed many of your videos and saw your journey..Congrats!. I'm in the transition process, I wanted to know what is your hair type, I was thinking 3c

  • I love the final look! Your hair so beautiful and healthy!

  • Oh how I wish I could rock my hair like that. Unfortunately, if I remove my twist before they are dry I'll end up with a tangled cotton ball within 30 mins. :( You wear it well hon!

  • i believe you have the thickest hair on youtube. Absolutely beautiful!!

  • ugh!!...im so jealous of your hair! ;)

  • Gorgeous!

  • Goodness girl lol. I had to watch the vid again...SO CUTE!!

  • Cute! I can't wait until I have this amount of hair

  • You definitely remind me of Corinne Bailey Rae with your hair like that.

  • Beautifull results! I love your colorful shirt, too.

  • @jelover9 Thanks! It's one of my favorite thrift store finds : )

  • @Nikkimae2003 u thrift?! YAAAAAAAAY :D!

  • Mae your hair is beautiful and your beautiful, i luv ur twist outs

  • Do you have colour in your hair?

  • Holy thickness - love this look :)

  • Love It! Chica!

  • It Looks So Adorable. i love it, <3

  • My hair cant twist out nicely to save my life lol! It seems to work only when i do medium size flat twists. I'll try this method. Wish me luck! And i LOVE ur videos! ur hair has grown a lot =)

  • WOW! Love it!

  • My goodness!! Lol, You have a lot of hair. It has grown tremendously!!! Gorgeous!! Be Blessed!!! :)

  • I don't like much definition either I like my twist outs fully and full not fake looking like wavy weaves...Just my preference...I do think that definition looks good sometimes though just not on me...

  • Now would this become a one day style? Knowing me I would put flat twist in the front and chunky twist in the back . A totally different style. :)

  • it looks so undone and natural. i love it <3

  • Your hair is sooo gorgeous :)

  • @Nikkimae2003...You make it look effortless everytime! and it always turns out great..

  • nicccce!

  • goregous

  • how long does it take u to do your hair wash to finish? how often do u wash?

  • Thanks for making this video Mae! We've missed you!

  • uur really prettty, just thougt uu should know : )

  • I am so jealous of how big your hair is. :-)

  • very cut!

  • Having natural hair is not ALL about having "definition". As Nikki said, having a defined twist out is a "styling option" not a necessity. I'm getting more and more OK with just leaving my hair alone and letting it frizz/fro out. I let it do its thing!

  • very pretty:)

  • Love your hairline. Nice baby hairs. I know. I like how yours lay perfectly with no effort. Nice results. How do you maintain the look and 4how long?

  • very pretty! i'm currently 33 weeks post relaxer, my goal is to transition to natural. i've been rocking the braidouts for the longesttttt, can this work on transitioning hair????

  • pretty

  • Hey Nikki. Have you tried the curlformers on your hair since it has grown this long? Would be nice to see the effect.

  • Beautiful healthy hair!!! was is your hair type 4b?

  • Beautiful!

  • Girl, your hair is so beautiful

  • Your hair is so gorgeous and thick!! Would you say the products make all the difference? Because I want to try this next time I wash my hair but dont have the same products

  • Love it!!!! Thanks for posting. :)

  • Lovely!

  • I just realized that you and I have the same hair texture. I love the texture, though.

  • Adore your hair :-) please will you help me out Mae, and sub my channel? I've just started making video's please check out my first one and tell me what you think :-D!! that would be so helpful :) i really want it to be a success! God bless:) xx

  • I agree with a previous comment: every time I watch your vids, you are using different products. I understand that these companies are "giving" them too you, however many Naturals (like myself) are looking staples... With that said, the inconsistent products may impose upon some (especially the newly Naturals), to go out and purchase unnecessary products (product junkizm). On the other hand, it may provide some with "variety", hence allowing some to easily distinguish between varying product re

  • I'm curious can I pull off this look when one section of my hair is curly straight? And the rest of my hair is natural? If that makes sense

  • omg i love it.

  • ur hair is simply gorgeous. looking at when u BCed 2 now is so inspiring.

  • Wow your hair exploded! I love the volume!

  • I love that really large twists can give you a nice full twist out look, and its quicker to take down. I was going to ask you if your hair had time to dry, but that is really a great way to get hair that will continue to expand, don't let it completely dry! I love you, because you make being natural with really full thick hair, look easy!

  • You must have a lot of staple products, seems like every time I turn around I see a different product. lol You achieved nice results!

  • do you have a preference between this kind of twist out vs wearing your hair in a wash n go?

  • Looks very pretty, Mae. Thanks for sharing.

  • I've watched all of your video and each have inspired me. You've owned your look and loved yourself the whole way to now. You are simply beautiful and your hair is amazingly healthy also. Bravo Mae - keep striving!! You inspire.

  • Lawd that's a lot of hair (".")

  • Omg I love love love your hair!! I did the big chop in march 2011 because of you. Ice tried so many of your styles and techniques!! Keep the vids comn! I hope to see you at a hair show next year!!

  • Beautiful, as always.

  • Love it!!!

  • FAB!

  • so are you still planning on showing us how you got that hairstyle in the vid with the "all my purple life" lipglass vid?

  • I love the way your hair snaps back <333 ....I'm going to try this !

  • Hello, I just wanted to say your hair came out beautiful. I have been transitioning for 1 year; I have 1 more year to go. My 2 year anniversary without a relaxer will be August 18, 2012. Can't wait to get those relaxed ends cut off. Would you have any words of wisdom from a natural persons point of view?
