I live in las vegas and it was measured a year later. But what they didnt put in SI but the coach said on channel 13 news is they had a teammate and ball boy run out after he hit it and marked it. Mayor Goodman has a ball in place showing where the ball landed. So yes it was 570 feet. The wind was not blowing and he hit it off a offspeed 71 mph junk ball. Harper is a very good young ballplayer. But also Josh Hamilton as i know holds the highschool record with 621.

I live in las vegas and it was measured a year later. But what they didnt put in SI but the coach said on channel 13 news is they had a teammate and ball boy run out after he hit it and marked it. Mayor Goodman has a ball in place showing where the ball landed. So yes it was 570 feet. The wind was not blowing and he hit it off a offspeed 71 mph junk ball. Harper is a very good young ballplayer. But also Josh Hamilton as i know holds the highschool record with 621.

i agree with you except for the part you said about the distance was all cuz of aluminum...metal bats make a big difference, but not a 130 foot difference, a ball hit squarely with a wood bat is gonna get out easy

that was the 570 foot shot.. went over two trees another fence a sidewalk five lanes of traffic on the ELEVATED hollywood boulevard and yet another sidewalk.. finally landing in the desert where it left a crater in the ground that the coaches later measured that night, said in sports illustrated.. amazing.. i hit a 480 foot hmr my senior year with the wind blowing out at 30 mph lol.. and that was a very long shot but 570!?! thats insane.. especially for a freshman.. im jealous lol..

are you kidding, he is skipping his last year of high school to play juco for "better competition" but decides to stay in nevada where there is shit juco instead of going to cali or texas where there are legit teams. His team went 27-12 which is average and his team never came close to winning state. Also the team was scrubs, did you see that kid swinging?!
Sure the kid has some skills but i think that he is cheating himself just to make himself look better.

yes, hes cheating himself but no matter what this kid still throws mid 90's and hits over 500 ft at times. I dont care who u are playing..... thats amazing. He probably should go somewhere that has better competition but theres nothing wrong with staying where he is. I believe he should just live the normal life of a high schooler until school is over then he can do whatever he would like, but for now he should just play.
