I have no criticism for the overall execution of the piece, but I must say I really loved the ending part, very clear and detached notes. I would suggest though, to my taste, that you'd add some pedal or that you'd do some more legato for the rest of the piece and be weary of the constant tempo changing
Thank you for listening and your suggestions. I´m glad you like it. The use of more pedal and legato is a matter of taste, of course, but it´s always interesting to experiment with it and to change something here and there. I don´t think, that there are too big tempo changings.
But once more, thank you, it´s a valuable feedback for me.
Might I suggest a little more caution with dynamic level contrast? It only adds more intensity. Most of the song has big hits with fortissimo so make sure you incorporate that into your technique.
Thank you for kind comment and critical advice. I don´t think, that I do too little dynamic contrasts, only at one place I do play a p of a ff, but this I do with intention, just to bring an interesting moment of an unexpected surprise. Of course, I do understand, if not all listeners appreciate this.
Thank you for your kind and encouraging comment. Yes, I´m music teacher at high-school, so I´m not a professional pianist, but I use the piano very much also at school and I have studied it at university.
I loved learning this song. Played it senior year for a few recitals, really gets the crowd excited compared to the more generic songs people usually pick.
LOVE THIS SONG!!

Excuse my lack of information. Who named it "Hunter Song"? Was it Mendelssonhn directly or was it somebody else? Just curious.

@otirudam
The titles of Mendelssohns Songs Without Words mostly are given by the editors/publishers of his works. This is also the case concerning this piece.

Favorite song of Mendelssohn, also one of my favorites to play.
and 1:21 best part of the song in my opinion!
I always try to exaggerate that part and play like fffff and slow it down, but you did played it very well. good job.

Thank you for your kind comment: I personally am not a friend of exaggerations, but that´s a matter of taste, of course. I´m glad you like it.
