  • why is there a pentagram in the bottom of the screen?

  • if sex would have a language it would be french

  • why french can't speak english? :(

  • @felipefvap beacause the french are FRENCH not english! et que moi aussi je suis français!!

  • @felipefvap And why English can't speak French ?

  • @dedel1301 Because English is the universal language, dude... You can speak your own language with your country friends, but if you want that all the world understand what you are saying, you must speak the language that the most people speak.

  • @felipefvap "you must speak the language that the most people speak"

I don't speak Mandarin, but I do speak the next most spoken language in the world, Spanish. You may not believe this, but the majority of humanity does not speak English. Nonetheless, we can thank the British for trying to have everyone else speak their tongue. Luckily they failed.

  • @felipefvap I see that you don't understand that there is not only France where you speak French. English, Spanish, Mandarin, French ARE universal languages, so ... and I don't think that I MUST speak the language that the most people speak

  • @felipefvap that's where you're wrong ! .. we do , most of us speak 3 languages ( 1 more than an average american ). Read the papers and check with google if you are so smart :)

  • She is soooo funny ! =)

  • Ahh, I shouldn't have slept in French class.....

  • I can't understand shit!!!

  • I just muted this and looked at Melanie Laurent's face.

    Still enthralled.

  • Melanie thanks for exist, for your beauty... actually thanks to your parents they are the artist, but you continue your "across the universe" beauty with talent and respect... please marry me babe :)

  • @Murakamizo On behalf of Mélanie, thank you so much. I will make sure she gets your message. I know her personally.

  • @isocrate27 really? do you know her personally? wao... It's incredible how lovely she is, her voice "est adorable" tell her this: when she sings she plays an invisible piano that expand its chords inspiring others to be better.

    bisous bisous bisous

  • She says that she writes a scenario for nathalie portman but she wrote it french and nathalie wanted the scenario in English

    voila ! ;)

  • @street5050 thanks!

  • what is she saying about natalie portman?

  • @ainafetse1990 I just saw her presenting the first movie she directed, "les adoptés". She said she sent the script in French to Natalie Portman , from whom curiously enough, she never heard back!!

  • @ainafetse1990 She wrote a script and she'd like Natalie Portman to be the main character, but she doesn't know if she's going to accept.

  • @laptitedame i think natalie declined because the script was in french.

  • Un vrai bijou d'entrevue.

  • Melanie Laurent au naturel

  • @SherryManon ressembler a Nastassja Kinski

  • i have no clue why im watching every second of this...

  • i don't understand a fuckin word... but is very interesting :)

  • j'mapelle Michel, je suis mexicain..

  • huh?

  • oh le melon!

  • @Kakiekate Quel melon ?

    She is gorgeous!! Je l´aime!!

  • its not fair to other girls that this woman walks the same earth.

  • J'adore

  • elle est formidable

  • Hum...

  • what tv show is this?

  • @Frenzalbears it's a french canadian show !

  • @Frenzalbears - The show is "Bons baisers de France" (but it's not from France, it's from Québec; the host's name is France Beaudoin)

  • oh man....this woman is just...wow. magnifique!

    Long Live Dreyfuss !!!!!!

  • Whereever she is from,Melanie Laurent is super hot!

  • Je l'aime tellement! :D

  • 8:37 Terrible, l'anecdote xD

  • i seriously find her repulsive.

  • @TheTVbreaker you seriously must like dick then.

  • @poglay You should try reading a history book or look up "Quebecois French" if you think that Quebecois french after British rule wasn't isolated and stayed relatively close to classical french up until mass-industrialization came around. I never said it was exactly the same, I said it was CLOSER to, learn how to read.

  • there's a glow about her... so gorgeous

  • i wish i could speak french

  • @MRFBMELO French is a really difficult language you know I am French and nevertheless I make faults ^^

  • I wish I could understand this... :-/

  • @blofeld39 Why do french people don't speak english? Right)) And I'm not even english speaking)

  • @blofeld39 yeah the french language is really difficult even to the paper ( i'm french :) )

  • @blofeld39 you can learn it. if you're interested and really tries to learn it it only takes like 2 years. but then you gotta be interested too, or at least try hard.

  • J'adore! XP <3

  • I DONT EVEN CARE WHAT SHE'S SAYING I COULD WATCH HER ALL DAY LONG

  • Its funny.. I have a sleeping french understanding and speaking.. and by that I mean that my french knowledge is asleep most of the time.. but Ive been watching a lot of her movies lately.. without subtitles.. and I feel like Im getting fluent now.. its funny.. I pretty much understood all! except the canadian accent its hard to understand..

  • @sodapopsonia I agree with you, the canadians are very hard to understand in comparison with the french from europe, because they abbreviate almost all the words they use with an horrible accent.. I'm french canadian by the way. :p

  • @jeph0309 actually Quebecois french is closer to french a few hundred years ago, European french has changed since then just as English has

  • @NinjaManNBK your assertion is completely wrong, french from quebec is not at all like the original french from the 18th century , it s a french which has evolved (as french from france has too), wich has been influenced by english , you can hear it in the pronunciation, the vower"i" for instance is not a "french" one, but is closer to the english" i" , like in 'tip' . They also have lexical particularisms , as french french have... but it s not at all like" the original french

  • @NinjaManNBK a language evolve, it does not remain fixed in time, or if it does, it becomes dead languages, like latin, but is not the case for french , whether it s in quebec or france( which also has evolved from the 18th century).

  • Melanie Laurent must be French for Goddess right?

  • @13Psycho13 she's jewish..

  • perfect woman.

  • its the french jerry springer

  • @druha10304 no it's canadian show!

Ridicule.

  • @teresabanx Toujours mieux qu'un boudin inconnu

  • Yeah, thanks to my spanish I somewhat understand. I just enjoy seeing her no matter what.

  • 0:28 Bassist look like Noel Gallagher!

  • @Psyswitch69 No matter she don't want of you :-))

    X'DD

  • the host doesn't sound french at all.

  • @pepperonipizza1993 she's not from France, she's from Quebec. They have a different accent, but they still speak French.

  • @UltimateAmelie Is not true what you say !!!! She was born in the 9th arrondissement of Paris !!!! She is French.

  • @UltimateAmelie She his French but the show is from Quebec , she was doing promotion for the film there ...

  • @pepperonipizza1993 She os french, she was born in the 9th arrondissement of Paris

  • @pepperonipizza1993 The host has an accent , that's it.

Even in France we have many differents accents (parisian, picard,...).

  • usa has makeup and megan fox..... europe has her and no make up. fuck the USA when it comes to woman. Im from the USA btw. shes unbelievably hot.

  • @whygodrums10 haha i'm with you on that one.french women in general r usually hot.

  • @whygodrums10 aw someones single :( :( :( i wonder why

  • @whygodrums10 soooorrrry, but she is from canada

  • @whygodrums10 u think it's smart to judge women based on a few girls? every country say they have the most beautiful girls but truth is they're as beautiful everywhere, it's only because of the celebs some people judge some countries girls better than others.

  • Great actrice and very kind ! <3

  • She is funny :)

  • Amazing Jewish Princess. Amazing beauty.

  • i wish i could understand it i just heard asterix and obelix lols

  • i am glad she did an interview on the north american mainland... its just funny she did an interview in quebec :)

i think jusqu'a toi was a french canadian production

  • i " and you hadn't seen it before"

    ML "we'd seen nothing before"

I "and how was that recieved"

ML " it was doubly frightning because first of all there were 2500 people in the room, and before we got in the room he ( I tihnk Tarrentino) said, I can't wait to see my film in your eyes. I was sitting next to him and he was like this the whole time *turns head* He was waiting for my reactions.

I " And what does the film tell, A short resume ?"

ML " we made it clear and Tarrentino made it

  • @RachaelAnn77 Thanx a lot for your amazing effort, merci beaucoup, i love french language, sexiest language ever.

  • Thanx a lot for your amazing effort, merci beaucoup, i love french language, sexiest language ever

  • ML " Now I asked myself, what will be the classiest for this big reception and then I said smoking...I was going to do smoking black and then at the last moment I said to myself, everyone is going to be in smoking black, so we changed the colour. But I found that, I don't know, an actress in a Tarentino, you have to have something I little bit masculin. But still with a strong personality"

I " and to see the film for the first time, in a room with a thousand people at the same time.."

  • I "We'll see when you were at Cannes where the film was presented for the very first time you were dancing on the red carpet... very much at ease"

ML " I've never seen this"

I " you saw the film for the first time at the same as everyone else"

Woman next to her " And it's bizarre you weren't wearing a dress, I liked that "

ML" Why... to be French.. in Yves Saint Laurent.. I said I didn't want to have a big dress, I've done the princess before many times, Cinderella for 3 days, but now

  • "There were 3 meeting in total.. and in between them I did 4 hours of English a day in a school in France... didn't change what I wanted but anyways, I understood a little better.

I "And when you got the role... he told you in a nice way.."

ML " yes... I was in the room and he said...I really hope you'll tell me yes... Do you want to be Shoshanna? I said hmmm just a second i'm thinking about it.. oh alright I'll do it.. (laughs)

I " you look really at ease throughout this."

  • ML " well he only wanted to meet actresses that were bilingual...I said too bad...

I (laughing) and what did you do

ML " (english) you know, you know.. (french).. it was a catastrophe...I don't know how I did it i said..oh I'm a little stressed ...actually I understood you had to said I'm stressed out.. he talked a lot and I understood nothing, but at the same time he was making gestures so I understood a little bit about what he wanted to say". And in between the two interviews...there were 3

  • we went wednesday. Saturday I wouldn't have met him. At 14 I never wanted to be an actress, at 14 I wanted to be a singer... and I when I saw you sing it really made me want to. you hear these stories of meeting agents... i think there's a huge amount of luck in this job"

I " and work... you just finished this tarentino film that's coming to us on the 21st When you met him for the first time you didn't speak English?

    ML " no... very badly"

    I " and you lied?"

  • "he couldn't have seen if you had talent or not, and so he could only ask if people would be taken by your beauty.. and I don't mean to say you have no talent"

ML " I'm leaving... (laughs) There's lost of ways where we can make it or not make it... Theres the appearance for certain roles, obviously there is talent but I believe most of all it's luck. I went to the plateau that day, and the next day there was a car accident. My friend said to me... We'll go either wednesday or saturday

  • I He gave you three warnings

"1) not go to Theatre school"

    2) don;t take scripts in advance

    3) never be scared of ridicule... Did you follow all 3? "

ML "not being afraid of ridicule is the hardest... sometimes you have to have a hige amount of self confidence to take certain parts... but in the end he was right. When we are no longer scared of ridicule we're free to do lots of things"

Then the woman next to her said, "I've been thinking about your story and what he saw were your eyes"

  • he asked me if I wanted to be in film.. and I said yes"

woman next to her " and he saw you from far away?"

ML " I never understood how he spotted me from far away, but in any case... I remember there was a big forest behind us and he was coming up to us in the Obelix costume, which was pretty impressive. And the closer he came to us, the more I asked myself "Really? what's he going to do in the Forest?" I had no idea why he was advancing towards us.

I "and you had three conditions"

  • ML " yes, I accompanied by best friend at the time to the shooting of Asterix and Obelix. We got there at 5 in the morning, and I said I would never be an actress.. I would never do that job because you get up way to early "laughs". We stood by the side because we didn't want to disturb anyone; we weren't participating in the shooting we were just watching. And then I say Obelix...or Depardieu in the Obelix costume. He came towards me and said Hi, Hi"

  • I " we really appreciate your being here because the day of promoting must be very long. Only a few days ago you were in Los Angeles

    ML "yesterday"

I "yesterday... and tomorrow you'll be..."

    ML " in new york"

I "so we really appreciate it. Just tell again the story of how you were discovered at a young age for those who don't know you.... I don't know if its boring to repeat this story again...you'll probably have a 50 year long career and we'll ask you again. Anyways, you were 14 years old

  • I'll try and translate as best I can.

Interviewer: She was discovered by Gerard Depardieu on the set of "l'asterix" when she was only 14. Now she's 26 with 22 films under her belt including the new Tarrentino film that will be released to use next week. The french actress everyone is talking about; Melanie Laurent.

I; "thanks very much for being here". Then she asks the woman sitting next to her what she was going to say, and she said she's really cute and she looks like a little angel.

  • im curious isnt that upside down star masonic symbolism lol

  • sexiest french chick on the planet

  • she is the most simple girl to describe by ONE word :

    THE BEAUTY,,

  • at the end she mentions how she was signing autographs at the premiere and feeling very good about herself when Angie and Brad showed up and the guy she was signing for grabbed the pen from her and ran towards Angie.

  • she is extraordinarily expressive not to mention gorgeous, just watching her face and her smile is captivating. she also seems like she has a great sense of humour and is a lot of fun. she is talking about how she was discoered by gerard deparieu on the set of his movie about a very popular childrens book Asterix.

  • French people kiss everyone??? I would not like being kissed - unless its /Melanie Laurent of course - she's beautiful!

  • @Dessy909 Your question surprises me because french people are often said to be cold (maybe because they live in the northern hemisphere ?? lol), especially Parisians (I live in Paris). Even the French say that !

Indeed, it is common for a celebrity to kiss each other guests when entering the set of a French TV show, even if it is the first time they meet. At least for the vast majority...

  • @Dessy909: When it's for the work, we check hands. Men always check other men's hands except if they feel it (father, best friend,...). It also depends on where you live in France. Women always kiss (except for work). It can be 1, 2, 3 or 4 kisses.

We don't hug. That's too much for us. Kissing is too much for English people and hugging is too much for French people.

  • @quetzalrojo Well, aren't you just a dumb stereotyping douche bag?

  • je suis en amour

  • moi aussi!!!

  • this is the funny part cause she was promoting for inglorious , and then whe walk out and a man asked for an autograph, so he lends her his pen, and then all of a sudden she hears likesome big screaming "yiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii", it was brandgelina passing by, then the man just grabbed the pen from her hand and rushed to brad pitte , she puts it in a funny way, she has great sense of humour

  • the host's french accent is as if it is finnish....

  • god melanie's fr
