  • Was once acquainted with the guy in lower right-hand corner at 1:44, 2:22 and 3:00...his name was Peter and he managed Newbury Comics in Boston in the 1980's and then maybe again in the 90's. When I see his face I can't believe I was so young once. Great times and great movie.

  • Please, someone let me know what paradisial "esplanade" this took place in. If only you could wander outside of your apartment one quiet, chilly autumnal night, and randomly walk into this piece of dark heaven.

  • @jordancloudbuster Hey , that's good!

  • Just Great! it was the first time i saw Nick Cave.(i was retarted)! i exclaimed: who's that guy? In that scene, we see the angel who refused to do like his friend, so he turns his body against the wall...l'ange blond, souhaitant rester ange, me bouleverse à chaque fois lorsqu'il se retourne!

  • yes, Heaven over Berlin is one of the greatest movies of all time. viewing it can be a life changing experience. Solveig Dommartin was truly a beautiful woman.

  • I agree completely. It's like my comfort movie. Watching it helps me forget about the chaos surrounding me every day.

  • What a masterpiece of filmmaking. And a great theater experience. I was saddened by Solveig's untimely death; she is an angel now.

  • Solveig is so pretty!!! I was in love with her since Until the end of the world. I love Wenders but when I'm watching these two movies I think about them as Solveig's movies.

  • this movie is a masterpiece. thanks to bruno and wim

  • Such an awesome, human and affecting film!

Everything is great in this movie, from the photography, to the soundtrack, the actors...!

    Thanks for posting!

  • Man, I love Wenders' camera movement! He certainly know how to enter a scene...

  • This one of the berter movies of the last three decades...wim's choice of the bad seed's was perfect....tho nick aint no iggy, no matter how he tries

    thanks for posting

  • Nick never wanted nor needed to be Iggy.....

  • nick cave doesn't license or sell his tunes for anything, nothing commercial whatever. iggy is the face of car insurance billboards, in the uk at least.

  • I just went to watch this movie for the first time today. My local cinema is having a Wim Wenders season. Great stuff, I'm now a fan ..

  • HI MY NAME IS STAGGERSU..ANYWAY I AM A CAVELOVER FROM WHEN THE BIRTHDAY PARTY BEGAN..

will ya respond from one caveman to another??

  • "No one saw the carney go". Win Wender rules!

  • increible....Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds _ geniales! Nick es Dios!jaja,y "El Cielo Sobre Berlin" UNA OBRA MAESTRA. Para mi, de las mejores pelis de la historia!!!!!! un 10!!

  • I'm not going to tell you about a girl, I'm not going to tell you about a girl, "I'm going to tell you about a girl!" Love it! Great movie, great band!

  • i've got that movie!

    yeahh!

  • What a shame, it cuts off just before the girl and Bruno Ganz's character sit at the bar together. As I recall, this is one of the best parts of the movie. One of my favorite movies, ever. Thanks for posting this!

  • you are right. the scene you recall, in my opinion, makes the central sense of the movie, that is what love should be: simply to meet each other, because it must happen. maybe it was cut because it doesn't work that way...

  • The rest of the scene is here watch?v=t4HNmR9OUjE
